When Abandon Silence first opened it's doors at The Magnet two years ago on June 2nd, not many people thought we'd make it this far. Yet here we find ourselves two years down the line celebrating what is sure to be one of our biggest and best ever shows. To commemorate our second birthday party we are more than proud to welcome to of electronic music's hottest artists to Liverpool for the very first time.

It's pretty hard to think of an artist with as high a profile as JULIO BASHMORE who has not played in Liverpool yet. Since his inaugural Futureboogie release his profile has mushroomed to unprecedented levels, with followers from across the bass music spectrum. His 2011 release Battle For Middle You was the previous Summer's Ibiza anthem, with Youtube becoming swamped with early morning daylight videos of the world's biggest DJs climaxing their sets with the tune. It's infectious build up has cemented it's place as a true Abandon Silence classic ever since our 1st Birthday when a 'sit-down-stand-up' was forced by Joy O when he played it. It has been a long time coming, but finally Julio Bashmore is here.

Supporting Julio Bashmore we have Leeds-via-London based producer MIDLAND. Growing up with Hessle Audio family (Pearson Sound, Ben UFO, Pangaea), his first single release was a collaboration with Pearson Sound, then known as Ramadanman, called 'Your Words Matter' which would go on to be named by Mixmag as one of the "100 most important house records" feature. Over a number of years Midland has garnered a reputation as an eclectic and intriguing selector, having DJed in clubs like Space in Ibiza, Horst in Berlin and London's Plastic People.

Abandon Silence residents head up the bill, with this gig set to live long in the memory as potentially a turning point in our history, we cannot wait for you guys to join us in celebrating our second birthday with two of our favourite artists.
