Huge respect to all the PUSH kids who made it down to VOLAR at the end of April for the insane sonic tsunami that was DR SHINGO.

Now that we’ve almost recovered and our ears have pretty much stopped ringing, the CEOs at PUSH headquarters are planning our next audio bombing raid on VOLAR and are super psyched to be announcing our special guest for May.

If Zeus, the father of the Greek gods, came to Earth and learned how to operate two turntables and a mixer, he would probably look and sound a lot like YIANNIS. This son of the Aegean has long been one of our favourite Hong Kong DJs, and has earned some serious respect over the years by throwing down some bad-ass sets of techno, tech-house and electro. Over the summer, Yiannis holds a residency at famed Greek club Paradiso, and he’s shared the decks with huge names such as Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg and Sasha.

It’s taken a while to get him to VOLAR, but it’s been worth the wait. On May 25, YIANNIS will be supported by the PUSH brothers Frankielam and AKW. Come get some.
