Bathroom Culture, Tour Detroit and Pop Up Detroit presents "Guilty Pleasure".
The most affordable party in Detroit on Saturday May 26th during Movement weekend.
Guilty Pleasuret is about a 10 minute walk from Detroit's Movement Festival.
has affordable drink prices,.... oh yes, and we will have a bangin system... outside on the back patio... it will be nice. If you stop by, you may not want to leave. But if you do we do allow re-entry.
This is an affordable after-party that will allow Jimmy to cut loose (after his LIVE performance at Movement's underground stage 7:30-9pm and then dj some of his favorite tracks, mingle with his fans and shed light on his latest amazing full length album "Majenta" (its really good)
DJ N>E>D (aka Ned Beckett) once a resident for the legendary WARP label will be tearing it up after Jimmy.
Also to showcase a few different Detroit DJ/Promoter collectives that have been making waves, working together and throwing some pretty amazing... late nighter, warehouse events that are fun and have an 'artistic/anything goes flavor'- To start Bethany Shorb (aka T0YBREAKER) member of dethlab is doing a solo set. And Chicago based Le Sprite will be doing it to it too.
Dj Collectives such as (Tour Detroit) that focus on a smooth and always classy but daring mix of eclectic house, some tech and their rare brand of nu and classic disco. Ernie Guerra aka Erno the Inferno with his dj'ing, production skills and alll around the board "cool" has proven himself a Detroit fav. Along with the rest of the Tour Detroit crew... These guys consistently deliver.
John B.(Detroit Exposure) is the b boy that doesn't play b boy music, this is ironically cool. He has been edging his way into this interesing, unexpected Detroit scene and his sets are individualistic and a bit more than a good time.
Detroit's newest dance scene rebels (Bathroom Culture) http://https://www.facebook.com/BathroomCulture -dj's/ promoters/ band/ gang-
Work with a cohesive chemistry from Dr. Disko Dust (aka john ryan's) strange brew from both punishing and pleasuring disko, with a little electro and acid.. venturing into his own brand of neo-cosmic (disko-sludge- channeling sexually astral energy/vibes onto dance-floor)
Also a member of ZE DARK PARK (w/Ron Zakrin (aka Goudron) & Ian Clark (aka Perspects & Le Car). As for the other members of Bathroom Culture...John R. has inspired Mustache Jerry) and Carlo Rambaldi to take the party out of the bathroom and onto the dance floor and it has been working! Their aesthetic is based around deranged 80's sexy demented satire cinema, possessed disco chix, Egypt, Disco Cults, classic Detroit tv shows The Scene & The New Dance Show, mangled "Pat Nagle-like" women, horror movies that have synth based soundtracks, etc, etc.. FANTASY!!. Imagine if members of The Velvet Underground, Black Sabbath and Blondie were kidnapped by the mafia and forced into a life of electronic dance music. As goofy as it all sounds, these guys are dead serious about what they do....also, Join Bathroom Culture at a private warehouse party (the night before) on the 25th if you dare. http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?367237
dance music that makes you dance music that makes you dance music that makes you dance music that
