Tonight we have the special pleasure of welcoming a true Berlin electronic music legend. The roots of almost Thomas Fehlmann’s almost 30-year-long career lie in his work with German avant garde band ‘Palais Schaumburg’ he co-founded with partner Holger Hiller. In the late-eighties he produced as Ready Made, and in the nineties he worked together with Basic Channel’s Moritz Von Oswald and Juan Atkins as 3MB as well as started a partnership with Alex Paterson and The Orb. To various extents he has collaborated on all Orb albums. In the 90s Thomas Fehlmann was a resident at Tresor. Together with Moritz von Oswald and Juan Atkins he formed 3MB, helping to cement the Berlin-Detroit connection. Since 1995 he has been involved with the legendary Berlin-based Ocean Club which has been broadcasting a radio show since 1998 with Gudrun Gut, and has been responsible for countless remixes and productions for a eclectic selection of artists ranging from Erasure to Einstuerzende Neubauten. Also connected to Ms. Gut and Mr. Fehlmann in Berlin is Chica Paula who is originally from Chile. Her expertise extends not only from DJing but also to production as well. Her first release on Gudrun Gut's Monika Enterprise was a remix of Contriva and came out on their 12“ the „Foxy EP“ in 2003. Since then she has clocked up an impressive discography of original recordings and remixes. Also appearing on the Globus Floor is Jimithesun who started his career in 2000 in Slovenia and eastern Europe playing in clubs and on festivals (Ambasada Gavioli, Bellevue, Valkana Beach Festival and many more). In 2002 he was hired from the famous Cafe L'Atlantique club in Milan as a Resident DJ and become quicly the DJ & art director of the best underground situation of North Italy (Dna Club,LeNinfee, Florida, Mazoom DoNotDisturb). In 2004 started also his annual tours in the best clubs of Brasil where he has been a pioneer of electronic dance music. In 2005, with the exit of his first CD album “HouseTerrace”, Jimithesun founded his record label: Digital Traffik Recordings (nowadays a real landmark in Italy). From there on he pushed his career further and played as a resident for the famous Space Club in Ibiza. Add to this Norman Methner whose first appearance in the music biz was when he started as a little intern at the not-so-little Sonarkollektiv in 2003. During his internshipment his path crossed with that of none other than DJ Hell and Norman saw an opportunity not to be missed and promptly negotiated his next career move: enriching the ranks at Gigolo for more then 6 years. Downstairs in Tresor you have the monthly resident night of Puresque, who invites cutting edge artists of the day. Tonight: the wild and crazy, deep house, dub techno, electro pop, glitch house and click pop sound of James “darkfarmer” Taylor and David “brun” Brown aka Swayzak is the inspiration for David's solo project and new album on Tresor "S_W_Z_K" AND the exciting live set he will deliver tonight. It is imperative to catch this mesmerizing artist with his deep and dark tendencies from minimal to powerful, spacey to forceful. With Puresque as his partner for the night, you will see two of the newest and most exciting Tresor Records artists in one amazing nuit de techno pur.
