Continuing the new Bonito trend of two mighty house music artists who carry the beat together all night long. Frank Martiniq is an international DJ, producer and sound design pioneer. His unique vision of electronic dance music, combined with his talent, dynamism and experimental projects have acted as a springboard, propelling him to the forefront of house and techno global club scenes. He designs soundscapes from the sizzling of synapses to the droning of digitalisation. The futuristic project entitled “The Science Express” toured through 60 towns to international critical acclaim. As for his own future, Frank is constantly reconfiguring his sound, getting ever more creative: releasing his deep techno direction on Stroboscopic Artefacts, playing shows internationally and is busy in the studio working on visionary sounds for his fifth studio album. Co-owner of Voltage Musique Records, Berlin based Marquez Ill is better known for his DJ and production skills. Not restricting himself to his native Berlin, Marquez was influenced by the scenes of Cologne as well as Belgium and the Netherlands when he moved there for a couple of years. Nowadays behind the decks everywhere in Europe he's best known for his productions with Scottish vocalist Leigh Myles, where he combines his love for early House music with 10 years experience as a Hip Hop DJ and producer. Marquez' deep, soulful and refreshingly original take on electronic music has resulted in his tracks being played by many top-notch, international DJs. Downstairs the new faces Wednesday program finds a duo of new blood techno artists under the wing of our basement resident Ro. Steppin' up is Frank Sonic, a multi-activist in terms of techno, anchored for many years in the scene. He consolidated his position with gigs at festivals like Mayday and Nature One and a long-standing residency at Butan Club (Wuppertal). Now he is travelling every weekend nationally and internationally. After he ended the year 2009 with an eleventh place in the great Raveline in the category "Best national DJ", he is 2010 already in the tenth year of his musical career and is not easy to stop. Add to this the minimal to technoid sizzle of Brandenburg's Madston and you can count on some bangin' beats for your ears tonight.
