Brendan Clay, The M Shift
The M Shift’s 250th episode will be an extended six-hour broadcast – hosted live from V Bar, in Sydney’s CBD – on Saturday, 11 August.
Yes, indeed. The M Shift - episode 250 - what a milestone!
I decided about a month ago that the 250th show would be my last, which, in turn, will conclude the show in its current live radio capacity.
The decision wasn't an easy one - not by any means at all - but one that I feel was probably due, and one with which I'm now completely comfortable.
I'd like to focus my energies on other projects, in particular production - amongst other things - and feel that the time spent preparing for, hosting and processing the completed shows would probably be better spent on writing tunes, and pushing our SPOiLT brand.
Along with that, I feel that - over almost seven years - we've achieved everything that we possibly can with this project. In that time, we've played some great tunes, had a plethora of enjoyable shows, built some strong relationships and made some amazing friends.
Of course, to mark this momentous occasion, make no mistake, we'll definitely be going out with a bang!
The 250th episode will be an extended six-hour broadcast - hosted live from V Bar, in Sydney's CBD - on Saturday, 11 August. We have hand-picked a fine selection of quality guest DJ's for the occasion, who have been key players for us recently and over the years - including The Audiophilez, Dirty D, Tony Why, Toddy Trix, Andy Wright, Mysterees, Leigh Westren (who will be returning to his former pyjama pants glory), and the regular residents and hosts, Def Tonez, Ryza and myself.
We strongly encourage anybody and everybody who has ever attended, or has ever been a part of any of our shows over the years, across our many homes - The Bassment, Bent Lane and The Randy Room - to attend this event.
We want this to be a culmination and celebration of our achievements, and expect this to be very, very special indeed!
Of course, there are still six regular episodes before the concluding August event. We have purposely cram-packed the schedule with a quality range of guests - including Mesmer, D-Funk, James Warren, Audio Tsunami, Ben Shields, and another round of SPOiLT DNB, from Andy Wright and myself.
We thank you for all of your ongoing support over the years. It's been an action-packed, fun-filled journey - and one that I would do all over again!
As always, I sincerely hope you have enjoyed your stay!
