We are proud to present ASHES57 as part of the Rhythm Factory Monthly Exhibition Series.
ASHES57 has played a pivotal role in documenting the ever-changing facets of the underground electronic music scene and its evolution in both the UK and overseas. Her inimitable photographs, playful illustrations and clean cut, well-informed designs have injected a fresh aesthetic to the scene. Along with artists such as Shaun Bloodworth, Give Up Art and Zeke Clough, she has tirelessly laboured to give the music a unique visual identity.
Her portfolio has become immeasurably influential; having worked with the iconic DMZ and Swamp81 labels among other collectives. These labels in particular are significant pioneers in the progression of UK-based underground music with which her work has become synonymous. Other work with Hyperdub, Outlook and Boiler Room conveys a distinct resonant quality characteristic of her malleable approach to the musically inclined.
ASHES57 captures the essence of a night and notable purveyors of the musical landscape in her photography and designs and illustrates record sleeves and posters. She has cemented her position as an inspiring visual artist and become hugely accomplished in large-scale murals and successful exhibitions along with her work as Art Director of the widely acclaimed LAVA Collective.
We are incredibly excited to present you this opportunity and hope you will join us in celebrating the contemporary visual artist on the launch night of the ASHES57 solo exhibition.
