Limassol, Cyprus. 13-15 July

The Kazantip Republic started out in 1992 as a small windsurfing competition that grew into something bigger, better, and more extreme. Who wants to sit on the beach in silence? Not these guys that’s for sure. Out came the vinyl’s and sound system, and a beach party republic was born.

Now in it’s 20th year Kazantip is a month long beach party with up to 100,000 attendees. Featuring dj’s, musicians, performers, dancers and of course kite surfing/windsurfing competitions.

This year, as a prelude to the real Kazantip in Ukraine, we are pleased to announce the creation of the Kazantip Embassy of Cyprus, which will be hosting a three-day event in July (13th-15th). This has been organised to support the official Kazantip Republic and will be an ongoing, yearly event taking place in Limassol, Cyprus.

The premise of the Kazantip Republic is all about applauding individuality, being free to do as you please, and most of all – having an awesome experience. With this event we aim to re-create the energetic atmosphere of the festival, and inspire people to let loose and explore the potentials of the island of Cyprus through music, extreme sports and fashion.

With an impressive line up of both international and local Dj’s playing a non-stop music to keep party-goers in the mood. Accompanying this will be kitesurfing and windsurfing competitions, and a fashion show by famed international designers. The event aims to encompass all areas of peoples interest and imagination and communicate to the population the fascinating world of the Kazantip Republic.

Based between two Limassol locations (Drops Club and Avdimou beach) and three-days of non stop activities it is shaping up to be one of the most prolific festivals the island has ever undertaken.

Olivier Mateu’s wide-ranging inspirations and interests find their ultimate outlet as Rodriguez Jr., positioning him as Mobilee’s new master of eclecticism.
As one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s F-Communications – Mateu has already received enough plaudits and praise to last a lifetime. The Youngsters’ award-winning productions catapulted them into the international arena, taking them to some of the biggest clubs and festivals around the world.
Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche, one that strides ahead, guided only by his kaleidoscopic vision; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains, Rodriguez Jr. is the by-product of an untamed brand of creativity and a thirst for the new and unexpected. Drawing inspiration from artists as diverse as Stockhausen, LFO, Carl Craig, Eric Satie, Kraftwerk, and Michael Polnareff, Rodriguez Jr.’s spirit of adventure translates as soaring creativity, and music that cannot be pigeonholed.
Mateu manifests Rodriguez Jr. in his MLab Mk5 studio, which brims with vintage synthesizers and dusty analog gear. Acclaimed Rodriguez Jr. releases for imprints such as Mothership, Boxer Records and Giant Wheels, prefaced the quirky melodies of his bass-driven house hit Princess Guacamole for mobilee records, and the tropical techno of Kids of Hula for it’s sister label Leena Music. Drawing both pleasure and inspiration from live performance, Rodriguez Jr. relishes the opportunity to realize his project on the stage, and has done extensively throughout Europe and America.
As he restlessly seeks out the ultimate intersection between all of his disparate influences, Mateu explains it best: “Good electronic music is not a jail,” he says, “It should be enjoyable everywhere, from dancefloors to living rooms, and by everybody.” Now an integral part of the mobilee family, Mateu will continue to channel his vision, passion, and love of music into all that he does, and all that will come.

Marcin Czubala is not your typical techno artist: part of this might have to do with the fact that he hails from Poland; yet another part of it might have to do with his extensive background in classical music. Ultimately, however, what sets Marcin apart are his distinct and idiosyncratic musical stylings. While grounded in minimal house and techno, Marcin’s work always bears his unmistakable signature: slinky, undulating grooves full of bizarre twists and turns that ceaselessly continue to surprise the listener at every turn.
With a hefty background in classical music - between 1991 and 1994 he performed over 300 concerts, including the Nantes Festival, Warsaw Autumn and performances with experimental-music giant Krzysztof Penderecki - Marcin began his career as a DJ and producer in 1995 after his graduation from music school in Poznan, Poland. By 1999 he had founded Poland’s first techno label, Currently Processing, and starting releasing productions equally influenced by Brighton techno and experimental electronic music. As prolific as he is prodigious, by the time Marcin had joined forces with mobilee in 2007, he had already released 10 EPs and a myriad of 12” singles to his name for labels such as Neue Heimat and Morris Audio.
After joining the mobilee roster, Marcin hit the ground running, releasing two singles in just six months and issuing his debut LP for mobilee, Chronicles of Never, just a year later. Receiving critical acclaim for its exploration of a wide range of sounds while still conveying a certain consistency of mood, Chronicles of Never garnered comparisons to the production skills of Ricardo Villalobos, Tobias Freund, and Stefan Goldmann for its willful experimentation that never lost sight of the dancefloor. Its 10 tracks are supple and unpredictable, encompassing irresistible rhythms, unusual melodies, lush sound design, and an instinct for classic forms. Marcin continues to expand his sound with each of his releases: inspired by minimal techno, but not bound to its rules, he continues to forge a sound that is his alone.

After centuries of research, the definition of music still remains a plain mystery to all those who ventured into it – musicians, philosophers and scientists alike. Music, the art of producing beauty and harmony can certainly realize two things – touch and express the deepest of any living creature’s emotions, as well as trigger the urge to shake a leg. Alejandro Mosso has the natural gift to feed into both of these effects.
Born in 1983 at the foot of the Andes, in the remote region of Mendoza, Argentina, Alejandro Mosso propitiously received two legs, two arms and two ears joined firmly to his head by some singular synaptic connections. As his sensorial perception didn’t leave him content with the sole musical appreciation, Mosso quickly picked up his instrument of choice, the acoustic guitar.
From rock to postpunk to electropop, his skills placed him quite naturally in various local bands by the mid ’90s. The craze revolving around DJs and house music that was hitting Europe at the time, did not necessarily reach all the way to Alejandro’s hometown. His interest for the electronic genre rather grew out of his unsatiable hunger for audio research and experimentation.
Alejandro Mosso quickly developed a distinctive sound. When you hear one of Mosso’s track, you can immediately tell it’s his. He created a heap of productions and chose the name Funzion for his musical alter ego. In 2004 his first EPs came out and the following year he released his first full album, ‘Hiperborea’. The first Funzion live performances were presented that same year during the Argentine and Chilean editions of the famed Mutek festival.
From there on, Mosso successfully collaborated with some weighty trade names as Sushitech, Esperanza, Alphahouse, Telegraph or Lomidhigh – for which he became one of the leading producers. Getting increasingly contented by his production, Alejandro Mosso decided to finally unveil his work under his given name and drop the Funzion mask for good.
In 2009, Sven Väth spotted Alejandro Mosso’s ‘Somebody’ – a ruthless groove released on Lomidhigh Organic – and picked it to open the 10th volume of his legendary Cocoon compilation. From there on, such historical labels as !K7, Mo’s Ferry or Ministry Of Sound have all jumped on the bandwagon to get their slice of Mosso.
2011 marked a turning point for the Argentine producer. Disappointed with the current labels’ fad of seeking and signing only club hits and ‘A-sides’, Alejandro decided to launch his own Mosso imprint, where he conveys the listener into his very own musical realm. A budding undertaking for which 2012 holds many surprises.

Agraba (Azamat Murzaev) was born In 1986 in the Olekhovo village in the Kaliningrad Region. Just since childhood, he was interested in music enough to get a degree in piano. He retained his passion to music even after his leaving for the city of Krasnodar which later became his second home. There, he continued his music education in Culture and Arts Institute.
Agraba's first releases “Phoenix” and “I Know You Are Smiling Now” had a great success and made Agraba famous worldwide. His works are played by most well-known DJs and musicians, such as Audiojack, D Nox, Axwell, Dave Seaman, Dusty Kid, Tim Andresen, Timo Garcia, Claude VonStroke, Nick Hook, Scumfrog, Russell Deeks (iDJMag), and others. Since 2011, Agraba is a resident of the most famous Russian house label Wazzup? Records.
The number of his releases drastically increases day after day. Agraba deserved love of his numerous fans with his crazy energy shown during his shows. He has been an important part of the “Kazantip” festival for many years already – in 2010, Agraba won the first place in the voting and became the best DJ of the Krasnodar Region according to the DJMag magazine.
Agraba fully devotes himself to music and that is why he spends most of his time in his home studio searching for new, actual sound. Agraba's plans for the near future, according to his interview, are "to conquer the world!" Yep, just that.

Contrary to common belief Sascha Ries aka Sasch BBC is not a branch of British broadcasting, but nevertheless his name also stands for splendid entertainment. He delivers delicious music from Germany’s Rhein-Main-Area. Deep-seated in there are the roots of the current Loft resident, which shaped the mentality of his sound since the beginning.
In young years, Sascha was electrified by the precursors of today’s electronic scene like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. The desire for spinning records himself and encouraging a crowd to dance grew and was rewarded with his first residency in the age of 16 (1993) – in a time when pegging styles was not a common practice, when Techno was simply Techno and even House and Happy Breakbeats didn’t get in line. Around that time Sascha utilized an Amiga-computer to make his first steps in musical production. And for the people’s pleasure, a lot of tapes were mixed these days. Additional versatility was also proven by him in disc jockey activities beyond his electronic paths. He put his mixing skills to work for the hip hop band “Noname Produkt” and released 2 CDs in collaboration with them. But in spite of this detours his heart was always heavily beating in 4/4-steps – House and Techno.
So in 2001 he came along the residency in the Loft Club Ludwigshafen, which remains true until today. And his impulsive sets were decisive for direct support of Sven Väth, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Magda, Marco Carola, Richi Hawtin and many other top-class DJs. Sascha became iconic in the widely acclaimed Loft Club. Meanwhile in 2002, the event label “Envy My Music” offered him to take an additional residency in Frankfurt’s innovative Monza Club. He easily decided to do so. And by now he conquered almost all electronic clubs around the Rhein-Main-Area. On top of this his career has been elevated by playing sets at Time Warp 08 to 11! “Music has to be fun” isn’t only his often repeated mantra, it’s also a quality receptible in his sets. Heavily affected by the locally specific minimalistic Deephouse sound, he spreads his music up to groovy and funky House, Indie sounds, Neo Dance and 80’s Synth Pop – but always with a certain element of high temper. Dark and blut just simply never was his thang. His music was released on such labels as 8 Bit, Plastic City, Brise and Viva Music.

Thessaloniki native John Dimas is a well-known performer in Greece who throughout his career has dabbled with production and live performances as a DJ. His introduction to music was in 1999; collecting records of many and various artists. His musical culture at this time included a wide range of styles: techno, acid and more specifically house music. He built himself a strong reputation as a DJ, and more precisely for his capacity to dig out hot and exclusive tracks. As a DJ, he without question possesses an incredible talent and is undoubtedly a rising star.
Two decks and a homemade mixer were the ‘tools’ for the production of his first DJ sets. International DJ’s and club owners though, soon recognized his musical and mixing talents. His unique DJ set, using 3 turntables, has also been presented on various dance floors, not only in his native country, but also abroad. Amongst his highlights is a performance at the Nuits Sonores festival in France.
At the age of 22 John became part of a local collective in his home city called the NON Agency. Since then he has played at numerous gigs all around the country, with participation at the Reworks festival among his best performances. In 2011 has joined Audiofamilies Agency. His music delivers a rhythm that will just keep lifting your mind and mood higher and higher as the night wears on, based on House bass lines with tech edges.
Apart from his DJ activity, John has begun to take his musical talents into the studio. In 2008, he made his first production attempt as half of Actor One. Nowadays John is focusing more on solo productions with great releases on labels like Bass Culture, Smoke City One Records , Claap and many more.

Their real names may be Grzegorz and Wojciech, but there have been plenty of others along the way: early DJ sets as Deeop and Ketiov, champions of the underground as 3 Channels, or simply ‘Greg and Voitek’ to their nearest and dearest. But no doubt, you’ll know them best as CATZ N’ DOGZ.
The duo’s refreshing take on dancefloor music has, in the last 12 months, propelled them into the limelight like never before. Perhaps it was getting the remix treatment from the incomparable Carl Craig and rising star Tanner Ross on their most recent Mothership release. Or the A&R home runs they scored with Pets Recordings, debuting Eats Everything’s smash “Entrance Song” and curating remixes from Maceo Plex, Axel Boman and KiNK. Or maybe it was their first appearance in Resident Advisor’s hallowed Top 100 DJ Poll. In any and all cases, the truth is clear: Catz N’ Dogz are well n’ truly at the top of their game.
Even as the rapturous response to Escape from Zoo launched them headlong into a heavy period of touring, live shows and festivals at hotspots around the globe, the boy endeavoured to further develop the scope of the Catz n’ Dogz universe. They launched Pets Recordings with the distinct aim of bringing Poland’s production talent to an international audience, they kicked off the Petcast podcast series, and took their label showcases on the road, establishing residencies at Berlin’s connoisseur clubs Watergate and Farbfernseher, alongside regular appearances in Szczecin and various other Polish cities.
Whether you’re charmed by their bass-heavy, colourful and always groove-laden DJ sets, drawn in by their arresting live show, weaving your your way through their illustrious output as producers, or delving into the magical tunes curated from their close network of friends, Grzegorz and Wojchiech (or Greg n’ Voitek) are simply two of the hottest house Catz (n’ Dogz) on the scene today.
