Yes, this sad day in clubbing history has finally arrived, the feeling comparable to Sunday lunch with the grandparents after a weekend of partying and no sleep. But let’s not throw up the carrots; let’s pull out all the stops to celebrate a party that will go down in Kidology club history.
The date in question is 7th December where Kidology Records and its sexy Kidettes will throw its Friday night party at The Cross one last time before the venue is gone forever. Kidology has been putting the fun back into Friday’s since its launch at The Cross in April this year. The December party will be no different and if anything, Kidology will party harder than ever before with an extra hour to the night, finishing at 6am!
Kidology don Mark Wilkinson will give something back to the Kidology crowds in a marathon seven hour set, marking the stomping ‘Dab Hands- Supergood 07’ release on Kidology/Gusto Records.
The rest of the line-up showcases the best of the regulars who’ve dipped in and out of Kidology throughout the year. These include Mark Wilkinson’s ex-production partner Paul Jackson from the outfit Kidstuff, Kidology remixer Danny Dove, party boys FNUK and the Out of Office: friDAZED crew who have been hosting the dark arch for many months. This party is sure to go off.
So what’s in store for 2008 we hear you ask? Well, The Kidettes will be the angels escorting the party from Friday’s at The Cross to three new venues, all on Saturday nights next year. First up Kidology will be at one of London’s beautiful new venues, The Island in Charing Cross. This used to be the Soundshaft of Heaven, which in its stylish and fresh new look, is totally unrecognisable as the old venue - parties here kick off on 2nd Feb with an awesome line up of Seamus Haji and Mark Wilkinson: and on 8th March, Kidology will take up a residency at the gorgeous Pacha launching with Chris Lake alongside Mark Wilkinson, also watch this space for a couple more exciting announcements coming soon, there’s plenty more in store.
Keep an eye on www.kidologydsi.com for more details, and in the meantime, put 7th December in the diary and come say goodbye to The Cross in a proper Kidology send off.
