Noisekölln, No Fear of Pop
Noisekölln and nofearofpop.net are proud to present pattens first Berlin Show! This is also the Release Show for UMA's Debut EP!
With nihiti we have one of the most exciting "new voices off the modern technoid post-punk dialogue" on the bill!
patten appears as if from some parallel world; prismatic and mirage-like, soaked in the searing heat of urgency. first Berlin show! GLAQJO XAACSSO, by Patten, was one of FACT’s favourite albums of 2011. http://www.residentadvisor.net/review-view.aspx?id=9886
UMA take a seminal approach on the fringes between pop and noise. Their first EP features a guest appearance from legendary Silver Apples!
Nihitis approach towards shoe gaze and post punk is infiltrated by a cold and complicated four to the floor aesthetic, mirroring the end times of electronic music.
SFTSTPS is the sound of computers with feelings in ultra dense action. This means being human and using the wrong sound. This also means wonderment.
Music for dancing. Not like everyone else. I hope" dane//close is the alter ego of sameheads resident dsb.

Noisekölln focuses on experimental music in a broader way than your usual pedal-fiddling grunt in a basement or art gallery. Noise is more than just unbearable frequencies or Merzbow. It’s an anti-lifestyle on the fringes of music. Apart from rules and social norms. Punk was a movement to subvert common-sense living and instigate a new type of self. To trigger new senses. Noisekölln plays with the idea of sense itself. A constant evolution that pushes against the idea of a single scene and seeking others with identikit views. We are not a political
youth culture or fashion circle-jerks. We are Noisekölln. Frequencies and static will be reassembled to feed the demand for the new and weird. The complicated and distorted. The truth and the lies. They are part of the same whole and we want to see it implode.
