Christopher Street is a street in the West Village neighborhood of the New York City borough of Manhattan. The street was at the center of New York's gay rights movement in the late 1970s. To this day the street serves as a symbol of gay pride. There is a very poweful gay movement in Berlin. On June 23rd there is a big festival in town. Your pride festival ends with a dance party at Spinder&Klatt - directly at the Berlin Spree River - that's why we call it "CSD an der Spree"!
