Raised from a puppy on a diet of Deep House dog biscuits, tongue in cheek named : Stretford Dogs Club has a great pedigree in the house scene after being involved with some of the UKs best Deep House nights being behind long standing Manchester house night Development and I AM and projects like 2010′s Chicago New York Detroit party in Manchester.

After a 5 year hiatus whilst running club nights and keeping his mixes to a close intimate pack, Stretford Dogs Club decided to pick up his cans and start publishing some online mixes in 2010.

Prior to that, having played at some of the UKs top clubs including Mint Club in Leeds and being a regular guest at London’s Turnmills events like City Loud & Release Yourself, he then became a little disillusioned with the way music was going at the turn of the Millenium and decided to take a break and concentrate on pushing credible music through clubnights Tweak, Development & I AM as a founder & promoter, bringing over DJs ranging from the ever versatile DJ Spinna right through to the other end of the musical spectrum with bookings from Detroit like Carl Craig, Rolando and Stacey Pullen and pushing European sounds from the likes of Deetron, Dixon and Franck Roger to name a few.

Also a co-founder of underground house label Development Music which has seen releases from the likes of Zed Bias, AtJazz, Domu and pushing vocalists like Jenna G and Yannah Valdevit from Eddy meets Yannah in Croatia.

A musical style dominated by a deep house groove inspired by early US DJs like Sneak and Derrick Carter, the set construction of people like Basics’ Ralph Lawson tied in with inspiration from current producers and DJs like Jay Sheaperd, Agnes and Argy and labels like Cecille, Sthml Recordings, Compost and PlayHouse are amongst the genetic make up behind his mixes.

After publishing a handful of mixes via Soundcloud in 2010 his pack began to increase with followers from over all over the world via the Soundcloud portal.

In every month of 2011, Stretford Dogs Club takes a new lead and embarks on a new project releasing a 2 hour monthly mix pushing both new and old music or whatever takes his fancy that month therefore creating 12 x 2 hour mixes. Each mix will carry on from where the previous month finished therefore creating a 24 hour mix across the space of 12 months : A Day In a Dogs Life – Stretford Dogs Club 2011 – Unleashed.

In what is merely just an experiment into something that’s never been done before, he looks forward to the finished 24 hour mix in December 2011 which will catalogue a year from inside his musical mind at a time when he feels deep house is back in the underground realms of the house music fraternity, young and old. A mix that will catalogue this year for his own personal pleasure and anyone that would like to join his pack along the way.

2011 was a big year for deep house connoisseur Stretford Dogs Club, and was one which saw him own regular dates at various Manchester clubs including the best of them all, Sankeys. Also playing for Snafu up in Aberdeen and ending the year with two dates in Cape Town and Johannesburg, the SDC sound managed to get everywhere.

Playing alongside the likes of DJs/producers like Dixon, Waifs & Strays,Death On The Balcony, Heidi, Andre Lodemann and Alex Barck from Jazzanova - as well as being invited for an Interview and Podcast/Mix with the likes of The Independent online and for Ministry of Sound radio on New Years Eve –SDC is the underground talent gaining more and more props from all the right people.

With 2012 already underway, it looks like it could be the best yet, with bookings confirmed in Aberdeen, Coventry, Newcastle and London in the next few months as well as brand new residency at revolutionary new Manchester club-night, Cartel.

Also, just back from his first gig in Berlin and with more travels planned at Electric Elephant in Croatia in July as well as a July/August tour of Canada and US.

With a 24 hour mix of his from 2011 now available to download through iTunes, and a brand new mix concept In:Season planned for this year, we expect this skilled DJ to be ever more the talent on peoples lips in 2012.
