One week after the famed Slam Tent at TITP, the Slam boys take a well deserved holiday. It has been an incredibly busy 2012 for them so far with 3 parties out in Barcelona during Sonar, appearances in Ibiza, Watergate, Fabric, We Are The Future +++, and their productions have included remixes for Carl Craig & Christian Smith, and releases on Soma, Paragraph & Drumcode.
Worry not though two of Glasgow's brightest acts stand in for July's edition of Return To Mono.
Harvey McKay (Soma Records, Drumcode, Saved) will be closing the night. Harvey has just released a storming EP on the German Trapez imprint to massive support from the techno fraternity, and has also recently been remixed by the legendary Rolando of UR. Keep an ear to the ground for new material from Harvey coming soon on Soma Records.
Warming up proceedings are the on-form Animal Farm. Having destroyed the Afterburner stage on the Friday night at the Rockness Festival in June, they were first in-line to fill the boots of Andrew Weatherall when he couldn’t make it due to flight problems. Showing the housier side to the collective, their 3 hour back-to-back set laid the line for all on Saturday at the festival. Their last appearance at the Sub Club was when they hosted their party & afterparty with Luke Slater and Shifted back in May – anyone who witnessed the night will testify to the boy's jaguar skills.
For a mere £5, there really is no excuse.
