SHE cordially invites you to celebrate New Years Eve in style across the 2-levels of Sydney’s multi-award winning waterfront venue The Loft & Bungalow 8 – as we proudly present 2 of the most important figures in the history of dance music – Nicky Siano (Studio 54) & Joey Negro (Z Records).
With an ambiance fitting of this year’s Hotel Of The Year Award Winner (Annual Bar Awards 2007), The Loft & Bungalow 8 provide the perfect setting for 2 of the most inspirational figures in world dance music to meet Sydney’s most glamorous club brand in Sydney’s most-anticipated New Years Eve party.
Joey Negro is one of the most commercially successful and in-demand artists on the global scene – and a master of all things funk, soul, disco & house. Under his Joey Negro guise and a wealth of other monikers (Jakatta, The Sunburst Band, Raven Maize to name just a few) he has produced countless club smashes including ‘Must Be The Music’, ‘Can’t Get High Without You’, ‘Make A Move on Me’ and Jakatta’s ‘American Dream’ as well as remix work for Diana Ross, Masters At Work, Mariah Carey & many more. Famed for his eclectic and mind-blowing live sets, Joey was recently hailed by I-DJ Magazine as one of the 50 most influential people in the history of dance music.
In the heady days of disco, Studio 54, The Gallery, The Loft and The Paradise Garage were the three most important clubs in the New York scene. Original Studio 54 DJ Nicky Siano has the unique distinction of being connected to all of them. His own club The Gallery was New York’s most famous underground club and it was from here and the the infamous Studio 54 that Siano inspired and launched the careers of legends such as Grace Jones, Loleatta Holloway, Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles to name just a few. New York Magazine’s 35th Anniversary issue named him as one of the “100 People who Changed New York”. Witness the legend whose music defined an era.
Matt Caseli is best known for his long standing residency (10 years) at one of the world’s most glamorous clubs – Pacha, Ibiza. In 1997 Caseli began his first residency at the now legendary beach party Bora Bora. His talents were soon recognised by Pacha and he was invited for a guest appearance that turned out to be a huge turning point for both Matt and Pacha as he went on to create a unique party atmosphere in the club’s Funky Room. Under his musical direction the room has become a legendary name across the world – a success which is reflected in now his 10th year of residency in Pacha’s Funky Room aka El Cielo.
