samsonrwroteMon, 26 Nov 2012Had a great night at this - first time at ican studios, probably up there as one of my favourite venues in london now - main room is incredible, great sound, great vibe on the balcony. Relaxed security throughout made the whole experience enjoyable - not too crowded for the most part like other hydra's i've been to - plenty of room in the smoking area. toilets outside meant never had to que once. Seriously had a great night! Joy O impressed as did Kassem who was on another level. Only... More
andyyyyyywroteMon, 26 Nov 2012I'm only annoyed at this because it has literally never been a problem for me. Not at I Can Studios with the two huge signs, or at Electric Minds BenUFO/Jackmaster Party, not at Fabric that same night. So after spending £80 on Hydra tickets (where bigger mistakes happened), it just felt incredibly petty on a cold and very wet night.
MakeMewroteMon, 26 Nov 2012I experienced the same issue in the cloakroom, but stuffed my hoody down the sleeve of my jacket and made it into 1 item - they were cool with it. I would agree that its fairly standard practice in London. If you rock the hoody / jacket combo, its always a risk andyyyyy - i'm surprised you haven't been stung before in London - its bit unfair to give the promoters a hard time about it.
electricmindswroteMon, 26 Nov 2012Andyyy not going to get into this, it certainly is standard practice and it was this way for all of the events at I Can. There were two huge signs at the Cloakroom that clearly state that it was £2 per item, the same signs that have been displayed at all 5 of our events at I Can Studios.
