The regular EDM night carrying the excellent name "Radio Drama" continues, under the wings of two formidable and dynamic UK artists Vince Watson and Matthew Puffett aka Future Beat Alliance. Both have now established a solid fanbase at Tresor Berlin and the Radio Drama nights express the very best in techno purity with modern ideals. Tonight the masters have invited Santiago Salazar aka DJ S2 who started deejaying in the early '90s inspired by mix tapes his brother was bringing back from the Gay underground scene in Los Angeles. His style has always been a mixture of house and techno. After moving to Detroit, Santiago began his music training with Mike Banks, label founder of Underground Resistance, and lead to his mixing and editing of several UR releases as well as the mighty "Return of the Dragons" and DJ Rolando's "Aguila". Having releases numerous EPs on Carl Craig's prestigious Planet E Records, he also released his own tracks under monikers like Aztech Sol and Seldom Seen, and became a core member of the Los Hermanos and Galaxy 2 Galaxy live bands, using his DJ skills to control the flow and intensity of the live performances. Downstairs in Tresor we welcome back the very noteworthy Berlin techno veteran Heiko Laux, the father of the giant Kanzleramt label. To explain his importance to the Berlin and German techno genre would take pages but suffice it to say, that his gigs on the Tresor decks are part of techno history - like his label - and it is mastery you will move you tonight. He has invited two top-notch artists on his label: Ray Kajioka is a German techno producer, DJ and live performer since 1995. He is well-known for his work on Kanzleramt Music, as well as on Rotation Records, MakTub, Müller Records, plus his remixes for names like Dave Clarke, Pawas, Joel Mull and Beroshima. A distinguishing and striking aspect of his music is certainly the warm spheric and impulsive sound, which is constantly present in all his productions. Ray's live and DJ performance encompasses all the elements of today's modern Techno-NuHouse, but has it’s feet firmly planted in the roots of the Detroit vibe. Rocco Caine is definitely an "art obsessed" producer/DJ, who knows, maybe one of the most art oriented in the German electro and techno scene. He is recognisable not only by his "Cainish style" but a clarity and precision that retains the deepness and intensity of his frantic bass lines, whilst still transmitting the heaviness of dub and techno beats. The sound Rocco Caine creates has a constant growing number of fans in front and behind the mixing tables, that has led to really interesting long list of projects with great names of the German and international scene.
