Deadly Rhythm return to the capital for a new series of South London parties and are pleased to annouce that the first will take place at Corsica Studios on Saturday 4th August 2012. We have fond memories of our New Years Eve show with Four Tet and James Holden at the venue in 2010 and we are excited to work out the killer soundsystem in both rooms once again. There are few venues that match the sound quality and vibe of Corsica and we shall be making a few special touches to the venue on the night.
Our first guest is New York house legend MK. He made a name for himself with tracks like ‘Somebody New’ and ‘Decay’ on Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records, before forging his signature sound with the house classics ‘Burning’ and ‘Always’ on his own Area 10 imprint. Deep bass lines combined with chopped up vocals and a sensibility for hooks make a MK production instantly recognizable and laid a blueprint for the sound of Todd Edwards and later garage producers in the UK.
Our second guest is Prime Numbers' boss TRUS'ME, known for the excellent soul edged house & techno cuts on his Fat City debut LP 'Working Nights' and Prime Numbers follow up 'In the Red' as well as his hypnotic and eclectic DJ sets. We have wanted to invite Trus' Me to Deadly Rhythm for quite some time and are glad that it has finally happened.
Finally we welcome London duo Homepark to round off the bill. They have released some great deep and driving early detroit influenced house music on labels such as Bliq, 3rd Strike, Enterbt with forthcoming releases on Balance and Ornate and will be kicking off the party in fine style.
Alongside Deadly Rhythm residents Aleksi, James Deadly and Patrick C-A.
