Walkthehorse are returning after a phenomenal night at South Nightclub with Kanio last month, with a rare opportunity to showcase one of our favourite labels. MOON HARBOUR, Matthias Tanzmann's label imprint will be coming to Manchester to play for Walkthehorse, to promote the brand new mix CD, the in:house compilation Vol. 4, Mixed by Dan Drastic. The Mix contains tracks made specifically for the mix by some of the world's finest producers, including Matthias Tanzmann, tIni, Reboot and Martinez.

So who better to bring along to Joshua Brooks than the man himself, DAN DRASTIC, and to provide the perfect warm up, relative newcomer MICHAEL MELCHNER.

DAN DRASTIC is a well renowned, in-demand dj on the german house scene. back in the nineties he was one of the most active and popular djs in his hometown chemnitz regularly throwing parties in the club lait solair.
from there, dan drastic made his way to leipzig and to moon harbour recordings. he released a string of productions on labels: highgrade records, lorna and on the english label hairy claw, which is a part of stevie kotey’s bear entertainment and also on the german-new zealand label curl curl music.
at the end of summer 2008 followed his killer tune “slice of life” on moon harbour recordings and "two in one", together with chris lattner, as a part of the new labelcompilation moon harbour inhouse vol. 3. don’t miss dan drastic play in a club near you this year; he plays regular sets at sweat club and distillery in leipzig, studio 80, watergate and many other major european clubs and festivals

Being born in the mid 80’s on the outskirts of Nuremberg, Michael Melchner witnessed the final moments of a divided Germany. Following that important decade Melchner became fascinated by electronic music and hooked on its grooves; buying vinyl, DJing and taking his first steps into music production.
Due to his particular interpretation of house and techno, Melchner won a DJ contest in his hometown in 2004, leading to him becoming resident DJ at Kiss Klub, a monthly party series in one of Nuremberg's most famous clubs "Die Rakete". Over the following years he developed from a newcomer into a renowned resident, attracting an ever-increasing fanbase who regularly visited the club especially to hear him play.
On one Kiss Klub night in 2007 he met Moon Harbour head-honcho Matthias Tanzmann, who quickly signed Melchner’s tracks for his other label Cargo Edition. One year later Michael Melchner's debut "The Things You Did EP" was released, both the music press and public reacting enthusiastically to his reduced house sound.
Step by step Melchner has climbed the ladder of success, with Matthias Tanzmann being there for his protégé along the way. Two further releases followed on Cargo Edition "You Understand" and "Four To The Floor", with the latter bolstered by a fantastic remix by Tanzmann. Melchner has since remixed the work of Alex Niggemann (Bloop), Tomas Barford (Get Physical) and Dot (Glückskind), and released a track on an Eklo sampler.
After appearing on the Ten Years of Moon Harbour compilation, the anniversary tour brought him to clubs in Spain, London and Paris, as well the famous Panorama Bar in Berlin, Robert Johnson in Offenbach and Womb in Tokyo; a remarkable career already for someone only in his mid-twenties and with so many more great years ahead of him.
