Get No Sleep Ibiza represents the underground part of the concept. “The home of the best electronic music” is generally more likely to present big international mainstream artists, such as David Guetta or Swedish House Mafia, but in Ibiza… “In Ibiza we wanted to come back to the true spirit of the white island’s parties, organizing cool events on the beach, with pure underground electronic beats”, says Uli Mücke (Vice President New Music GSA) from EMI Music Germany.
The line-up includes names from various music styles and generations. On one hand, we have some classical names from the electronic music scene like Hernan Cattaneo, probably the most famous Argentinian DJ in the world and Nick Warren who will both play “back 2 back” on August 24th. On the other hand, we have a newer generation of artists, like Fritz Kalkbrenner, Tiefschwarz or Pan-Pot from Germany, or even some talented newcomers from Barcelona, like John Talabot or Audiofly.
The headliners will play together with artists from Get No Sleep Ibiza’s main partners: Jose Maria Ramon, Artistic Director of Ibiza Global Radio, Steffen Baumann from Sixty Sessions (Miss Sixty), Nacho Almagro (Vicious Magazine) and Florian Gasperini, official DJ of Ibiza Essentials, the promotion agency of the event.
And this is not it! The parties will open every Friday with a special set by one of the Getnosleep Collective Djs. This collective includes renowned DJs from Ibiza, residents of some of the islands greatest clubs or parties. This initiative is willing to give the opportunity to the “locals” to be part of an international project, and share the DJ booth with some of the greatest names of the finest electronic music.
The campaign is fresh and fun just like the brand philosophy. And to add an underground touch the ads will not communicate the venue: in order to get information about the venue people will have to scan a QR code included on the visual. A modern version of the strategy formerly used to communicate the location of the rave parties. This campaign will be released this week on the streets of Ibiza, social media and by Get No Sleep Ibiza’s official media partners: EMI, Ibiza Global Radio, Vicious Magazine (leading Spanish dance magazine) and several specialized websites and blogs.
