inSpiral, in conjunction with positivity movement Purple, are hosting a night to help raise funds for Chikanata hospital in Zambia. Some of our medical student friends working there later this year are hoping to raise funds to equip an ambulance with everything needed to service the remote areas surrounding the hospital.
We'd like to invite you to come and support the ambulance cause by dancing the night away at Inspiral on Friday 3rd August.
Music will be provided by six horrendously handsome home-grown DJs including the immense Ade Laugee. They’ll be playing bringing you a plethora of musical genres, including Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Hip Hop, DnB, House and anything else that tickles the fancy of the night, to ensure you get your dose of musical medication (see below for samples).
All funds raised from the evening will go directly to the cause.
So come and spend the night dancing some positivity into our world.
Tickets free on the door, donations encouraged!
p.s. Any contributions to the cause would be massively appreciated and could make a huge difference to the welfare of so many lives.
Chikankata hospital, funded partly by the government of Zambia and partly by the Salvation Army is 31 km from the nearest tar road in the South of Zambia. The hospital is the sole provider of healthcare for over 90,000 people in the surrounding area, and has only five doctors working there permanently.
Later this year three final year medical students from UCL will be travelling there to work for 2 months. We are hoping to raise money to help equip an ambulance to service the remote areas surrounding the hospital with a full first aid kit. As well as medications and dressing this would include:
A battery operated ECG machine.
Minor surgical set.
Equipment for respiratory support.
Other monitoring devices such as a pulse oximeter.
Any money that you are willing to donate would be massively appreciated!
