Based on the idea of conveying a story through music during a short period of time, Synopsis is the realisation of Half Baked profile Greg Brockmann and Sami Daik and is the product of many years of partying and playing alongside each other.
Taking place every two months in the intimate settings of East London’s Basing House, widely renowned for its soundsystem and dimly lit roof garden, Synopsis aim to showcase well-established international artists as well as close friends, who are all versed in the art of presenting a narrative through music.
Part 3 welcomes Amsterdam's Boris Werner as main act alongside residents Greg Brockmann & Sami Daik.
Known as an enfant terrible, a radiant light in every after hour and for his merciless productions; Boris Werner is a thrill seeker of his generation.
The Amsterdam based bad boy that speaks his mind and let’s this reflect in his music making. With the hammer track ‘Set it off’ on Soweso that’ll be out soon, another production coming out on Get Physical in the summer of 2012, gigs all around the world and his residency and own party Late Night Society in the already legendary club Trouw in Amsterdam Boris is well on his way into his second professional decade of electronic music.
Where Boris turned his love for music into a hefty lifestyle in his first decade, he now kicks his career up a notch. Spending night after night in his studio during the week. Behind the decks of different clubs all around on the weekends or being in charge of the music at an after hour he is never not working.
The summer of 2012 Boris is coming back to Ibiza for his third year at one of the island’s most renowned parties: Circoloco at DC10. Plus his own night ‘Late Night Society’ at Trouw is having it’s second birthday in August. After two years of the bi-‐ monthly party where he and his colleague and friend William Kouam Djoko invited artists such as Seth Troxler, dOP, Wareika, Tom Trago, Jamie Jones, Visionquest and San Proper the ‘dress up chic, act like trash’ motto of the party is now infamous in-‐ and outside of the club.
Production wise Boris is ready for yet another round of heavyweight releases. The Dutch label Soweso, run by Boris’ friends Kabale und Liebe and Lauhaus, has it’s hands on the powerful ‘Set It Off’ track, which has already set some dance floors on fire the past months and will be released in the summer of 2012. Another EP ‘Slow Dancin’ is coming out on the acclaimed German label Get Physical. And there is more music on the way.
From his first decade up into the second and to many more to follow Boris Werner and his music will always pull you into the direction of any dance floor around.
