GAEA FESTIVAL:

Gaea Festival is one of Greece's premier outdoor alternative lifestyle, sustainable living, music and arts festivals. Promoting with a strong ethos of unity, the festival – whose name is derived from the Greek mythology story of the Gaea, the mother of all beings, is about connecting people from all walks of life throughout the world. At Gaea you'll find people from all communities and demographics, joined together by a shared desire to celebrate life, to become one with body and soul and to learn and experience new things.

Running this event for the first time for four days over the last weekend of August 2012, we are hoping to attract people from all over Greece, Europe and the world. With our unique variety of music, workshops, activities, performance art, discussion panels, movie projections, market stalls and mouth-watering food on offer we promise you a quality event in all aspects.

Travelers and festival goers can expect to see over 100 talented artists across a multitude of music genres, including progressive trance , psytrance , chill out and ambient. Featuring some of the freshest acts from around the world alongside Greece’s finest talented artists. A truly magical experience the Gaea Festival offers a chance to escape from the pressures and the routine to our lives and interact with like minded people, reach in a higher state of realization in a safe and truly awe inspiring natural environment. Set in a beautiful location under the clear blue summer sky next to the sea.

The Alternative Agora area combines a range of creative activities, dance, theatre discussion, conscious sound, bio friendly info points and shops and the latest healing modalities to provide a place for growth and personal wellbeing with consciousness. In an increasingly fast and more demanding world, the Alternative Agora is a place to nurture the mind, communicate ideas, find personal power and learn how to be loving and tender to the Earth. Offering a variety of activities designed to expand the mind, awaken the spirit and heal the soul. Add to all this amazing eye-catching décor, stunning artistic performances and workshops on a massive range of topics your biggest difficulty over the weekend will be deciding what to do next.

The Gaea Festival is a gathering place for people who consciously acknowledge the human enlightenment and who seek with others its resolution through the creation and exploration of music, sound, ideas, and actions that move Humanity toward a more harmonious relationship within our planet.

The Gaea Festival is here to provide a service to the Earth - enhancing the wellbeing and flourishing of all life.

OUR AIM:

• To promote and implement ways through which human beings can interact meaningfully with their environment without denying future generations their right to do the same.

• To promote a new, global consciousness which sees our entire planet as a living organism with Humankind as an integral part of the entity.

• To form an essential contribution to making life more whole, healing our planet and uplifting humanity

• Work together to employ alternative solutions that will produce a more sustainable society, contribute to the survival and sustainability of all species of our living system, the wonderful and fantastic planet – our spaceship, the planet:

• All the peace, wisdom, and joy in the universe are already within us. We're like a child standing in a beautiful park. We don't need to imagine trees, flowers, and sky. We need to open our eyes and realize that they are already here.
