Known primarily as pioneers and galvanizers of the international mashup scene, San Francisco-based DJ duo A Plus D - aka Adrian & Mysterious D - have brought their mashup vision around the globe, best evidenced by the success of their club night Bootie, the first mashup bootleg party in the United States and now the biggest event of its kind in the world. Launched in San Francisco in 2003, Bootie was listed in Spin magazine as one of the country's "101 Best Nights Out," and has been voted "Best Dance Club" or "Best Club Theme Night" for the past six years. The pair have since brought their mashup party all over the world, regularly producing and DJing events in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Voted "Best DJs" in the SF Weekly "Best of SF", A Plus D have seen their mashup creations reach wide appeal, with their annual "Best of Bootie" CDs becoming viral internet sensations each year, solidifying the DJ couple's renown as pioneers of the ever-growing mashup movement.
