...One sultry midsummer night five years ago this month, Shanghai's most hedonistic and headstrong underground music crew, VOID, threw their first party in a certain bar named LOGO. Six months later they played the first ever night at The Shelter... and the rest is history...

This Saturday night Void invites all those music fans, party animals, hedz, club freaks and crazy dancers who have given us such amazing support over the years down to The Shelter to help us celebrate half a decade of burnin' up dancefloors across town with their truly unique "Void Sound".

Taking centre stage behind the decks on the night are the godfathers of the Shanghai underground scene, Nat Alexander and Shanghai Ultra. The seasoned British duo reprise their long-standing musical partnership once more, bringing tunes for the feet and head from all over the electro / house / disco / techno / dubstep / blah blah spectrum.

Also in the house on Saturday night are another pair of Void residents who have both left their indelible mark on the crew - the Shanghainese techno assassin MHP, and industro-EBM acid house pin-up fashionista, Tzu Sing.

To celebrate 5 years of furious full-on partying, VOID are giving away a very limited edition t-shirts to the first TEN respondents who leave a message either on the facebook listing for the event (http://www.facebook.com/events/454738777881727/) , or the event page on the void website (http://www.void-shanghai.com/?p=337).
