Gazebo with Tim Paris & Jamie Paton photo gallery
Gazebo's inaugural night at London's finest party emporium, The Horse & Groom, is set to go boom with a line-up so stellar that you are advised not to look at the flyer without those protective glasses you use for welding. Tim Paris and Jamie Paton will be selecting a potent mix of house, disco and electro, so expect scenes of sweaty abandon not seen since Mo Farah cycled his way to rowing glory.
Tim Paris (It's a Fine Line/MKG Music/My Favourite Robot)
Despite being a Frenchman, Tim’s name actually derives from his former occupation as a plasterer. It was while working in this trade that Tim met Ivan Smagghe; their friendship quickly developing out of a shared love for passing the time by recreating the sounds from their favourite dirty electro tracks with their mouths. The friendship endures to this day, and we’re lucky to have Tim taking time out from the It’s a Fine Line project to play some records for us (vocal recreations of his favourite sounds are not guaranteed).
Jamie Paton (Cage & Aviary/DFA)
One half of Cage & Aviary, although still refusing to confirm which half; Jamie Paton has become known for his rather excellent bag of records and his penchant for playing through his sets adorned with a giant plaster bird head. Once during a marathon 6 hour set, Jamie had to remove the raven’s head that he had chosen for the evening to wipe his brow, but otherwise they remain coolly and steadfastly attached. Tim Paris has kindly agreed to knock together the bird head for Jamie’s appearance at Gazebo, although he’s remaining tight lipped over exactly which avian species we’ll be seeing.
