With four turntables techno legend Jeff Mills mixes the music of the screening of the silent science fiction classic Die Frau im Mond (The Woman in the Moon) by Fritz Lang in 1928. With this unique fusion of disciplines, I amtechno opens the Amsterdam Dance Event in the iconic new building of EYE, the new Film Museum in Amsterdam North. The presale for the show on Wednesday, October 19 startes at friday 14 - 09- 2012

During this performance, Jeff Mills composes his personal soundtrack live while the movie with its images from 1928 merges with modern electronic sounds. It is an absolute first in the Netherlands: the only shows in Paris so far were all sold out.

EYE, the new Film Museum in Amsterdam, is the perfect place for the amalgamation of a classic silent film and contemporary music. EYE is the only museum in the Netherlands that focuses exclusively on film and moving image. With a keen eye for current, historical and artistic developments the museum frames exhibitions with film programs compiled.
