UPSTAIRS/LOUNGE FLOOR - EAST VILLAGE

It's been a year since DiscoPhobia started its travels through dance floors of East London, providing rehabilitation treatment to all suffering DiscoPhobs and curing them with the magic power of The Beat. We held residencies, we experimented with sound a little. We had some established, up and coming or sometimes (great) bedroom DJs playing on occasion. We don't discriminate, if we like something - we give it a chance & us a chance to learn. We shared love, passion and music with our dance floor and fed of the vibe of the dance floor. Thank you to all those wonderful artists who headlined our gigs over the last DiscoPhobia year. Thank you for those DJs who've resided with us or simply guested, And/or most of all - thank you to all those who's been with us for the last year and came to our parties as you are the sole reasons why we've ben doing all this.

And to headline this event celebrating the year that's gone we've chosen someone who have played for us earlier this year & who plays and produces amazingly beautiful music.

Laze Breaks (The Shoreditch Heartbreakes/imageradio.com)

Vasco Gumede also known as Laze Breaks has been a long serving member of London’s unique pirate radio community. A self confessed house addict he says “there is some kind of house tune for any occasion”. He believes a constant desire for fresh sounds and innovative idea’s is the source of his addiction and despite regularly enjoying playing an eclectic selection on both radio shows and live gigs he says “house music has the best all round discipline and demand for high quality production, and besides its estranged sibling hip hop is the most open to variations influenced by both local and global cultures.”
