Sam Paganini is from Venice, Italy. Venice is sinking. Many people in Venice believe the city's foundations have been destroyed due to pounding baselines coming from Sam Paganini's house. We don't know if this is true or not but what we do know is he's coming to Glasgow!
Since a young age Sam has been very musical, playing a range of different instruments in various different bands before getting behind the decks for the first time at the age of 15. Sams early influences were Acid house and Techno which he would play at local clubs. He naturally became interested in the production of electronic music and in 1993 media records contacted him to express interest in various demos. In 1997 Sam established his own “Cellar Rock Studio” where he could now experiment more with sound and search for new dimensions of his music.
In 2009 came the release of "Zoe," an instant floor filler, gaining support from artists such as Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold and was later remixed by Timo Maas and Funkagenda. The instrumental record became Number 1 in the English club chart.
Sam has released on some of the biggest Techno labels in the world including Drumcode, Plus8, Southern Fried, Octopus, 1605 Music Therapy, Android Muziq, Amazing records, 303 Lovers and Toolroom.
Releases in the last couple of years include "The beginning ep" (Form), "Cobra ep" (Plus 8) (Richie Hawtins label), "Prisma ep" and recently "Eros ep" both on the mighty Drumcode label.
These releases have had huge support from the biggest names in the Techno scene and has put Sam Paganini at the forefront of this genre with his exciting and original sound.
Luska is proud to say we will be hosting Sam Paganini when he comes to Stereo, Glasgow.
Residents Jack Swift, Dara and Pete Annand will also be playing the night.
