Migrashun returns to the depths of the Vision Lair for a late-summer affair—featuring one of the most intelligent and innovative musical minds in all of dance music, The U.K.'s Max Cooper. Fresh off his August guestmix on John Digweed's legendary "Transitions" radio show, Max is coming state-side, and he's bringing the renowned sound of his heady live set with him to the Vision Lair on Friday, Sept. 21st.

Migrashun is proudly selective and purposeful with the artists we bring to Chicago. Artistry and musicianship are the hallmarks of the Migrashun experience, which is why we jumped at the chance to welcome an artist that IDJ Magazine described as "consistently prov[ing] himself to be one of the most peerlessly beautiful recording artists in modern dance music." Max Cooper's brand of cinematic techno—serene and sublime, beautiful and bold—is exactly the type of sound we love to hear saturating an intimate room like the Vision Lair.

MATHIAS MATTHEW:
Migrashun's founder; he's anticipating the release of his debut album, “We Are All Weird” on Stasis Recordings in early 2013 . His talent and his fearless approach to musical innovation defines the very essence of the Migrashun brand, and his incomparable style will be moving the dancefloor, as it always does.

JASON WARTH:
Migrashun's other half; he designs the Migrashun brand by day, and lays down beats by night. His musical style is driven by the same principals as his visual designs: bold, clean arrangements; efficiently-expressed beauty; and a balance of intellect and intuition.

GAVIN MARKS:
A friend and rock solid talent with great taste and range; making his Migrashun debut with an extended opening set which will be sure to set the tone for the entire evening.

This will be a premier event, in the private confines of Vision Nightclub's "Lair.” As with all Migrashun events, expect top-notch sound and lighting; artwork of local artists on display; private bathrooms and seating areas and a full bar. Advance tickets are available now on residentadvisor.net for the discounted rate of $10. Admission at the door will be $15 all night. Migrashun guests will be directed to a private entrance to the event-space, which is separate from the rest of the club.
