We, alongside Crooked Sessions are very pleased to be welcoming Prosumer, fresh off his accomplished residency at the Panorama Bar (Berlin), to The Purple Room, Drogheda on Saturday 15th September for one night of real house music.

If you haven't heard of Crooked Sessions already, you will get used to hearing it as they plan to bring you some seriously good parties in addition to our monthly Gravy nights both at home and further afield.

Here are a few short words from Resident Advisor (who placed the German, house-maestro and long time Panorama Bar resident at 40 on their list of top 100 Djs for 2011)

Prosumer produces and consumes house music. House being the essence of his creative work, he deals with it in a way that is traditional, honest, up-front and most of all very personal. There are no limitations; stereotypes lose their impact and the supposedly very rigid formulary of house music, suddenly bears new entries. Of course, the base is rock-solid: Detroit, Chicago and New York are the cities that shaped his sound since he started playing records in the late nineties. But the Panorama Bar resident always has been one to accept ricochets from all kinds of camps, times and systems. The only rule: emotionality trumps effectiveness.

This is what makes his DJ-sets such rewarding experiences. Despite drawing from fifteen years of record shopping at Hard Wax, Prosumer is not an oblivious missionary of the absolute truth. He is an adoring DJ-at-heart who stands up for his own verity. All of that is stunningly bound in his first official mix “Panorama Bar 03” as well as continued and refined in his studio work. Whether with Murat Tepeli (deeply eternalized on their long player Serenity) orTama Sumo for Ostgut Ton, with his own releases, while remixing other artists or in front of the microphone – this Prosumer has found his own voice already.

Support on the night comes from Slowburn's Phil Long.

Phil, a native of Dublin is one half of deep house/techno duo Slowburn. Having released on labels such as Uzuri as well as the excellent 'The Hustle' ep on Austere, we reckon Phil is going to be the ideal to get the crowd going for Prosumer.

We also have a very sweet pre-party sorted for you where we shall have Jonho (Trainwreck_Dublin) and Kellser (External Sounds) on the one's and two's from 7pm, giving you the best possible start to your night.
The party will of course be free in and details will be announced on the day!
