Nestled deep within the heart of an undulating volcanic mountain range, at the intersection of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, lies Virunga...

This sacred terrain pays homage to the distinctively endangered Mountain Guerilla.

Lush with tropical forests and diverse mammal, bird, and reptile species, Virunga is a place which harnesses the combined essence and mystic spirit of eight dormant volcanoes.

This is the place where all the guerrillas meet, and under the cover of darkness with only the Luna illumination, they consort to the deep sounds of the Virunga terrain...

★CONCEPT★

Virunga is a joint creation between the online news platform, 'Guerilla Sounds' (www.guerillasounds.com) and Artist Management Agency, 'Guerilla Agency' (www.guerilla-agency.co.uk).

Serving one sole purpose, Virunga endeavours to bring together fun-loving groovers, who share a passion for underground house music, to a night of organic, unadulterated underground sounds.

Launching in November 2012, Virunga will provide Guildford with a new, excitng & uncompromising monthly event, at none other than Guildford's premier live music venue, 'The Boiler Room' (theboileroom.net).

Each month Virunga will showcase some of the finest breakthrough artists currently gracing the ever-changing underground music scene, with support from Guerilla Agency's roster of talented International artists.

From Ibiza to Berlin, Leeds to Bristol, London to Guildford, Virunga prides itself on creating a party atmosphere where the music is paramount, the vibe is friendly and the experience is unforgettable.

In association with Guildford's Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), you are guaranteed to be blown away by the forward thinking planning behind Virunga, which will leave your ears ringing and longing for more...

★DENNEY (HOT CREATIONS)★

Fresh from Summer gigs at Burning Man Festival in the US and Hot Creations' infamous Paradise party in Ibiza, we are very proud to welcome DENNEY to the turntables at Guildford's premier live music venue, The Boiler Room, for Virunga's eagerly anticipated launch party.

Denney forms part of an exciting new breed of electronic music talent emerging from the UK...Drawing the attention of his peers and dancefloors alike, with both his productions and insatiable DJ sets, Denney intelligently showcases his own distinctive blend of acid house and techno, which has seen him rapidly rise to the forefront of the underground scene since the turn of 2012.

Having enjoyed releases and remixed on labels such as Saved Records, Great Stuff, 20:20 Vision, Leftroom and Bullet Dodge, his productions have also gained support from industry legends including Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Jamie Jones and Sasha, to name but a few.

With his latest release “Ultraviolet”, released on Jamie Jones & Lee Foss’ Hot Creations label earlier this year, causing seismic waves across global dance-floors, this track unsurpirsingly found itself sitting comfortably at Number 1 in the bestselling vinyl chart on Juno for most of the summer, boasting DJ support from the likes of Sasha, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, and MANDY.

Denney has been featured on many radio shows and dance music publications over the years with Mixmag naming him “Future Hero” alongside Nic Fanciulli...So it is with no further a due, that we handover to the man himself and let his music do the talking...
