After living and spinning records in Berlin – alongside working at the German wax mecca Hardwax for ten years – it’s fair to say that Prosumer has a reputation as a collector of rare vinyl as much as he does for being a DJ. The super experienced Achim Brandenburg has released records on Playhouse, Running Back and Osgut Ton under the Prosumer alias and come this Saturday he’ll be channeling some of the magic he displayed throughout his tenure as a resident at Panorama Bar, a place where he’s spent endless late nights and mornings playing smoked out solo house sets and often next to his former Ostgut collaborator Tama Sumo, into the belly of Room One. Tama also joins live acts, Wagon Repair’s Danuel Tate, better known as part of Cobblestone Jazz, and early inspirational Chicago house innovators Virgo Four make an anticipated return following high recognition last year for their re-issue album on Rush Hour.
Far removed from the pair’s solo work, Rebolledo and Superpitcher are back in Room Two performing as the Pachanga Boys - a project that’s fuelled on dancefloor eccentricity. They’re appearing alongside Frankfurt-based producer, Anthony Rother, a man who’s been dedicated to underground techno for over twenty years now after his latest releases arrived on his label Datapunk this summer and our resident, Terry Francis.
Chosen by the legendary Larry Levan to play alongside him, Victor Rosado is the only DJ left who authentically embodies the sound of the seminal NY club, Paradise Garage. Playing up in Room Three he joins NYC house guy Brennan Green and together they’ll be setting the precedent for an extended disco journey, looking back through all its glorified history.
