About Octo Octa:

Octo Octa is Michael Bouldry-Morrison, a Brooklyn-based house music producer.
With a ten-year background in electronic music making, including stints in IDM and experimental music, a switch of focus to house music saw things finally click, and Octo Octa was born.
His debut EP for 100% Silk ʻLet Me See Youʼ came out in 2011.
He went on to produce three further releases for the label: ʻRough, Rugged, and Raw,ʼ ʻOh Love,ʼ and his eventual collaboration with Amanda Brown, the ʻLA Vampires by Octo Octaʼ release ʻFreedom 2K.ʼ His singular brand of R&B- sampling deep and emotional house music has continually propelled him to the forefront of a scene of house-not-house producers garnering widespread critical acclaim in both traditional electronic music and indie-minded musical circles.
Having recently been selected as a participant in the 2012 Red Bull Music Academy, a European tour scheduled for late 2012, and both a new EP and LP in the works, Octo Octaʼs ascent is imminent.

We started as a weekly party in 2008.
Eventually more DJs and producers joined the cause, the One-Man-Show grew into a collective and the parties got bigger and bigger in NYC and worldwide. We've been to London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Beirut, Bogota, Barcelona, London, Italy and the list goes on.

As we're approaching the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar, Sheik 'n' Beik is reinventing itself as a record label, bringing its artists beyond limits. But we like to party and we are back with a new season of craziness, eccentricity, good music and good friends.
