JAAKKO

JAAKKO is Tiago Lima, Physiotherapist, Dj and Party Activist from the city of Porto. He is the founder of Fusion Productions, responsible for bringing to the city of Porto artists such as Laurent Garnier, Minilogue, Mathew Jonson, D-Nox & Beckers, Barem, Emok, Alex Under and Max Cooper among others.
As a teenager Jaakko grew an enormous interest in electronic music, back in the 90´s his idols were Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, François Kevorkian, Green Velvet and Plastikman.
With his collection of music rising, it was inevitable that he would take the command of the dj booth. In 2008 Tiago gives place to JAAKKO.
Soon his music choice and feeling for the dance floor lead him to the best clubs in Porto such as GARE and Hard Club, and festivals such as Greentripping´09 in the Azores Islands, Freedom Festival´11 (Main Stage), the Boom Festival´10 (Iboga Area) ´12 (Alchemy Circle) and Neo Pop Festival ´12 sharing the stage with his idol Richie Hawtin.
From his boiling combination of sound you can expect Techno and House based on Groovy Melodies and Funky Rhythms served along with a juicy Fat Bass

FRESHKITOS
Gare Club, Neo Pop Festival PT

Young & enthusiastic, Gustavo Pereira and Filipe Rodrigues have been since really early attracted and inspired by music in general. Living in the also known as Invicta city, Oporto, they had a similar course and they met at the well known " Oporto Official Afterhours “, at Maré Alta, the boat. This Afterhours was considered for 3 years, the most exciting one at Portugal and the hype was totally there. Together with two other friends they were doing the program and booking artists as Tiefschwarz, Charles Webster, Dixon, Robert Owens, François Kevorkian, Jef K and many others. Ambitious, interested, devoted to djing this guys were always together, practicing, creating, exploring electronic music and improving their skills. Filipe had also one of the most well succeeded record store of Oporto on that time and Gustavo was resident and responsible for all the musical direction of one of the most important and oldest clubs in Portugal, Indústria Porto. Artists like Michael Mayer, Miss Kittin, Laurent Garnier, Tiga, Booka Shade, Ivan Smagghe, Anthony Rother, Nouvelle Vague, Ed Motta, Dj Marky, Ricardo Villalobos, 2manydjs and many other were his guests for this Club and his events.
2003 was the year were Freshkitos started, officially, in the first Saturday of 2003 they hosted a all night set at Indústria and it was a blast, since then till today it was really fast, dates all around Portugal, dates outside Portugal in clubs like City Hall, Macarena, Kubik, The One (Barcelona), Aquarium, The Egg, 1001, Wet Yourself (London), Watergate (Berlin), Dv1 (Lyon), Weetamix (Geneve), Balaton Festival (Hungary). Nowadays in Portugal, Freshkitos, are one of the references as they play all the main events and the most important festivals like Neopop, Boom Festival, Sudoeste, SBSR, Optimus Hype, and others. Gustavo and Filipe wanted to re-create the underground scene in Oporto, so four years ago they decided to go for the next level and have their own club called Gare Porto. It was a dream come true but also a hard task for them as it´s not easy to handle a club and have a full schedule, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, John Digweed, James Holden, Richard Dorfmeister, Marco Carola, Josh Wink, Seth Troxler, Magda, Sebo K, Anja Schneider, Dop, Andre Galluzzi, Gui Boratto, Paul Kalkbrenner, Tiga, 2manydjs, and huge list of other artists were their guests at their club and we should stop now otherwise you will be bored, and that´s not our mission at all.
Gustavo also founded and programmes Neopop Electronic Music Festival (ex Anti-Pop), the most important electronic music festival in Portugal.
