Combining music, art and films you're unlikely to see at your local cinema, Art Club is the new Sunday afternoon happening from London club music and cross platform art collective Noise of Art.

Inspired the spirit of the Sixties' happenings, Art Club is a celebration of creativity in the capital's club music and art worlds. The afternoon into night event will feature DJs, live music, films, AV installations, performance shows, art classes, food, drink and a social space for creatives.

Kicking off with a one-off launch event before running regular events in the New year, the opening happening is themed around George Melies 1902 masterpiece, 'Voyage Dans La Lune' - the first known science fiction film and one of the earliest colour movies. With each frame being hand coloured, it is truly a work of art.

This is a rare public screening of the film - the only two previous UK showings were at Noise of Art's club event with Daniel Avery and Ben Osborne at Latitude Festival and at Institute Francais in London.

Parisian electronic masters, Air, have created an amazing soundtrack for the film, which will be played back through a full live PA. The film has been returned to its full glory by Lobster, La Foundation Groupama Gan Pour la Cinema and the Technicolour foundation.

Around this there will be live music and DJ sets, exhibitions, experimental short films from the early 20th Century and new short films, live music, incidental art pieces and art classes. The day will begin with Life Drawing (booking required). There will be food stalls for (very) late Sunday lunches.

Amongst the DJs and musicians are UK techno and bassline pioneer Si Begg, Ibiza chill out legend Chris Coco, Slipped Disco stalwart and Noise of Art founder Ben Osborne, My Toys Like Me mainstay Lazlo Legezer, Cosmic disco don Mystic Rock aka The Thing, up and coming East London deep house DJ Rupert the Brewer, electro poppers Evokateur and folk singer Peter Hepworth.

Formed in 2005, Noise of Art is London's pioneering collective, connecting club culture to film and the arts world. In 2012 it has worked with The Beatles film company, Apple Corps, to show Magical Mystery Tour on the big screen for the first time (45 year after it was made) - involving a gala show with music and surround visuals on London's Southbank, and club events at Latitude. Noise of Art has put on immersive club events at Queen Elizabeth Hall (whole venue), National Portrait Gallery (whole venue), Latitude Festival (Film and Music Arena - seven events), National Maritime Museum (whole venue), Tate Britain (whole venue), BFI Southbank (Screen 1 and whole venue), Edinburgh Corn Exchange, Caves, Glasgow Arts School, Big Chill Festival and many more clubs and music venues in the UK and Europe. In 2009 Noise of Art founder and DJ, Ben Osborne, was given a PRS Foundation for Music New Music Plus Award.

Red Gallery is a unique warehouse space devoted to artistic events, situated in the centre of London's clubbing heartland.
