Following on from the huge success of Flux's first away fixture of the season down at Canal Mills, we are returning to The Beaver Works for one last offering of festive cheer before we go our separate ways for the holidays. Running proceedings in the basement will be legendary Mobilee label boss Anja Schneider, who will be joined by long-time Basics resident Tristan da Cunha and Idiosync’s Guy Richards. In the Warehouse we are very excited to welcome London's night of the moment Tief, who will be bringing a first class team consisting of Flux favourite's Casino Times, the up and coming Ben Sun and main man Matt Hessleworth.

Berlin's First Lady, Anja Schneider, has come a long way since she started her career as a producer for Kiss FM. Anja's charming personality and taste-making musical preferences lent her a certain magnetism that propelled her into the public conscience in her native Germany. Moving into production and career DJ'ing, she decided to found the now legendary Mobilee Records with Ralf Kollmann in 2004. As well as building an enviable team of musicians at Mobilee, including Sebo K and Pan Pot, Anja received plaudits of her own for productions including 'Rancho Relaxo' and 'Belize'. As well as building her own musical empire, Anja has had a large part to play in advancing the status of women in the house music industry and paved the way for many of the female talents we see today. We look forward to welcoming her to Leeds.
Tristan da Cunha needs no introduction to most residents of Leeds. A long time resident of the UK's longest running house night at Back 2 Basics, he is one of the few who can boast an international reputation as a DJ without the assistance of a production back-catalogue. An avid record collector, Tristan has been at the forefront of A&R for both 20:20 Vision and Redux and is one of the main men behind the highly successful recent venture at The Garage and Waxwerks.
Casino Times is the brainchild of Joe Spencer and Nick Church, two producers that met while studying in Oxford and have quickly gone on to cause some ripples in the London house scene. One of the first pieces of solo production, ‘That’s the Truth’, got a huge amount of positive feedback on the blogosphere and put them on everyone’s radar. Their subsequent productions showed a consistency and excellence that led us to get them up for Flux's 1st Birthday. Their excellent performance there has been followed up by further successes, most recently getting signed to esteemed label Needwant. We look forward to welcoming them back.
Ben Sun has long been a name known by those who like to look beneath the surface of London's deep house scene. His productions have a musical integrity that make him popular with connoisseurs of the genre. With releases on Voyeurhythm, and more recently the acclaimed Delusions of Grandeur, he is finally beginning to reach a wider audience. We look forward to welcoming him for his Leeds debut.
Matt Hessleworth is the man behind Tief, the London-based promoters who have been causing ripples across the capital with lineups that cut right to the core of innovation and quality. As a DJ, Matt has proved an adept resident for Tief, and his recent mix for the Feel My Bicep blog has shown he is likely to hve a bright future behind the decks.
