The 14th of December see's La Cheetah Club invite one of our favourite artists on the planet to our humble basement. Danny Wolfers will be performing a full analogue live show for us under his his most revered moniker - Legowelt. The man is on fire right now! His solo releases of late (including hot of the press album for Clone "The Paranormal Soul") have been nothing short of stupendous and his work as part of duos - Trackman Lafonte & Bonquiqui (with XOSAR on the ever dependable L.I.E.S.) and The Chicago Shags (with Orgue Electronique on Crème and M>O>S) are also causing serious damage the world over. His output and level of consistency over the last decade has been mind blowing and his live performances are something he has been perfecting since the very beginning. We expect this to be a very special night indeed!

Warm up duties fall to La Cheetah Club residents Wardy and Dom D'Sylva.

Legowelt bio...

Legowelt is an all encompassing musical vision born from the mind of The Hague's Danny Wolfers. Since his first productions in the early nineties, inspired variously by Detroit and Chicago pioneers such as, UR, Blake Baxter and Mr. Fingers there have been dozens of singles, EP's, albums and remixes for the likes of Bunker, Clone, Crème, L.I.E.S. and Ghostly. Perenially fascinated by old and battered noise-making machines, his genre output is defined by analogue textures and classic values as well as an ever roaming sense of sonic investigation that veers from electroclash to techno via freaky deepness and old school acid.

A producer with a rare and unique sense of humour, Legowelt produces music he is happy to admit, can either take off to the height to the charts (see 2002's 'Disco Rout' for evidence) or can be ejected into distant space never to be heard again... That's the risks you take when experimenting as freely in the studio as he does with obscure, forgotten sounds a mile away from the dull dancefloor norm.
