After having relocated and established ourselves in London, gaining a reputation for ground-breaking programming and events that inspire passion for the music we love, we are very happy to return to Liverpool after a one year absence. We will be celebrating AD Bookings' 10 Years of activity in the Electronic music industry with two of their best artists!
Having hosted some of the finest Techno talents we continue their journey through the deep electronic vibes, headlining the bill this time will be non-other than Scottish born, Amsterdam based Vince Watson. Vince's work caused a catatonic impact in the global electronic scene for setting a personal hypnotic perspective of groovy, melody and atmospheric sounds. His own label, Bio Music, has consistently produced quality techno, with support and high profile licenses from the likes of Carl Cox to Laurent Garnier. Watson is currently working on his seventh studio album, which will be released in February 2013 on Matt Edward’s (Radioslave) experimental label, Pyramids of Marson, as well as high profile remixes for John Beltran, Alexander Kowalski, Kirk Degiorgio, Funk D Void and Orlando Voorn, while he is also reworking his smash Mystical Rhythm, featuring Naomi Thomson on vocals
Support will come from another Amsterdam based artist, Tim Wolff. Tim has been a fixture in Amsterdam nightlife for over fifteen years, but it wasn’t until 2005 that he started dj-ing and producing. Major gigs soon followed, such as QNSDAY Open Air and legendary techno-event Awakenings, along with many club dates in venues such as Paradiso, the Sugar Factory and Studio 80, and international gigs in Ibiza, New York and Belgrade. The start of 2009 saw his first release, Sostenuto EP, on EevoNext Recordings, the reputed Electronic Music label of Terrace (Stefan Robbers), Estroe and The Moderator. The EP has earned support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Steve Rachmad and Josh Wink, who used the track ‘Branch’ in his Resident Advisor podcast. He will be making his first ever UK appearance and it will definitely be a special one.
Last but definitely not least, founder and resident Doubleffe will showcase the best music Coma has offered from its first year of activity in London. The young and talented DJ/Producer and Promoter has already performed in countries such as Italy, Japan and England alongside techno heavy-weights such as Rolando, James Ruskin, Audio Injection/Truncate, Bas Mooy, 65D Mavericks and Mike Parker. His debut EP “Metamorphosis” on the Dutch imprint Roasted Recordings has gained support from the links of Dimi Angelis, Lee Holman, Myles Serge and many more.
We will also be joined by the Coma Competition Winner, Tsanko Dimov who will play a warm-up set for us.
The event will be held at the legendary Picket Warehouse! The Picket has existed for 20 years, set in the industrial heartland of Liverpool's River Front, the warehouse breaths music into a long neglected landscape. It seems only fair to us to come back to city, in such a loved venue by Liverpudlians (and not only) to showcase and bring techno true, underground techno which doesn't see the light, as often as we would like to, in Liverpool. It will be the perfect location to experience some mind blowing electronic music..
The winner will be announced on January the 15th!
"Paris/Berlin : 20 Years of Underground Techno", the acclaimed documentary directed by Amélie Ravalec, will also premiere in Liverpool on the night at 9 PM.
