So on reaching the grand age of 6, we start the year as we mean to go on with a ground-breaking line-up to mark the occasion, taking place in both The Liquidroom and The Annexe

Headlining on the evening, we are delighted to announce the return of Eric Estornel, aka MACEO PLEX . Now a household name in his own right – a hell of a lot of water has passed under the bridge since we brought him as a relatively unknown to come play Edinburgh, under his alter ego MAETRIK; back in February 2011. Since then, in just 2 years, MACEO PLEX has risen straight to the very top ranks of the underground, with one of the most hectic touring schedules on the circuit, it’s a miracle Eric has managed to keep rolling out release after release on labels such as his own Ellum Audio, Crosstown Rebels, and Art Departments no.19 music.

Joining him on the evening, is the man on the lips of electronic music lovers across the board and easily one of the UK's hottest exports - HUXLEY.
Long tipped as a one-to-watch, his releases on such esteemed labels as 20:20 Vision, Tsuba and Hypercolour have seen his profile skyrocket. Starting out in his late teens with a string of Garage releases, it’s easy to see these influences shining through with a style that encompasses many and rewrites musical genres along the way.

With so much more in the pipeline for MUSIKA 2013 - we hope you can join us in starting where we left off in 2012, by continuing to bring the biggest, freshest and most in demand names in house/electronic music to our fair capital city.
