A major influence on U.K. Garage’s most recent development, Two Step, MJ Cole is the first true artist to emerge from the underground Garage scene and achieve a level of mainstream popularity. His debut album, Sincere, featuring the hit “Crazy Love”, has been hailed as a landmark in British Garage. The Two Step sound combines drum ’n’ bass beats with the organic feel of live, R&B vocals that are reminiscent of house, but with more refined production values. He’s remixed everyone from Goldie, Gwen McRae, Incognito, TLC, Soul II Soul and Lana Del Ray to name a few.
