CYCLOTHYMIA HELLO

Thursday Dec 20th 2012 will mark many calendars in many ways. Not just here on earth, but in the mystery's of our cosmos and soulful playfulness. Since many will await the end, lets join forces and welcome new prosperous fun filled beginnings at our's truly: BOSSA NOVA CIVIC CLUB with Brooklyn based Lenny Posso & Moebleakah igniting the Thunderworld Sound System filled with deep and sharp grooves.

Lenny Posso [THEMA-BK]

Leonard Posso, born and raised in NYC has been a part of the
electronic music underground scene since the early 90's. His
introduction into the scene was as a dancer at some of the hottest
underground clubs in NYC at the time (Red Zone, Quicks, Soul Kitchen,
Tunnel, Mars, Japan, Engine Room, Sound Factory, Save the Robots-when
there was still sand on the floor, The Underground and Limelight).
He's worked and DJ'd for several of the finest NYC promoters, helping
to curate some of the finest lines-ups NYC had witness back in the
90's and early 2000's and still to today with a series of events
called Radio and before that with Sound Noir. He's DJ'd alongside
numerous respected international DJ's and is a regularly slotted Dj in
the NYC circuit. Lenny has also DJ'd in several countries
abroad—France, The UK, Holland, Germany and Canada... His style is
uniquely his own, intelligently weaving various styles and ages
together in a way that only can be described as story telling. Founder
and manager of Thema Recordings, where he is working diligently on
creating a platform to help cultivate the scene here in NYC and and
its presence in the underground international circuit. Never
conforming to one style or sound, Thema has built a reputation of
putting out some of the most cutting edge, abstract, techno/house
music coming out of the US today. His motivation lies in the pursuit
to positively engage the audience with the most current and obscure
sounds of today, and with a hint of yesterday as well. Never forget
the past or you will never really know where the future is going.

Moebleakah [CYCLOTHYMIA NYC]

Moebleakah lives for music. Of course, that’s the life theme for
almost every DJ but it’s not everyday you come across many that
literally devote every waking moment of their life to the cause. This
is no exaggeration. As a young man in his teen years, Moe became
fascinated with electronic music and turntabalism but overtime this
hobby quickly turned into an infatuation. "I was really interested in
understanding music, becoming one with it, speaking and living music,"
he explains. Moe’s drive to perfect his skills was so strong that in
2003 he closed the door and isolated himself from the world beyond the
radius of his turntables.

So for an entire year, Moe disappeared and immersed himself in his own
musical universe practicing from day to night perfecting mixing
techniques, fine-tuning his ears and discovering new music. This year
of intense commitment to deejaying has undeniably paid off and
unleashed the natural DJ within. Moe is purveyor of several musical
genres, and first cut his teeth deejaying drum n’bass during the
genre’s peak years. Today his signature sound has evolved to raw,
dub-influenced house/techno and he is applauded for the adventurous
and dynamic style of his seamless sets.

Throughout his career Moe has been an active DJ, promoter and booking
agent in the underground electronic scene from New York, Germany,
Spain to the UK and for one of the world’s biggest electronic music
festival, known as (UMF) in Miami, Florida. Currently Moe resides in
New York and is the founder of Cyclothymia NYC, a house/techno music
collective.
