The Man From The Lab
Aaron Lipsett & Fion
Its funny, at the Macronite HQ every year we plan our St Patricks celebrations and say "wow really like the line up but how do we follow it next year"? This is our 3rd St. Patricks day and this year it really does look like we'll have trouble topping this one. We have put together a jam packed line up with no less than two R&S guests and more quality acts that can't be measured on any man made device.
The day kicks off at 2pm and carries on until March 18th.
So onto some info of our artists performing on the day:
London based producer, Tom Russell aka Truss has been releasing music since 2007, and writing and composing for over 10 years. With an uncompromising output of British influenced techno, his music takes inspiration from artists such as Subhead, Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Regis and Surgeon. Following numerous releases with long time collaborator Donor on such labels as Dumb Unit, Synewave and Thema, his fist solo EP, ‘Osbasten’ was released on Perc Trax, setting the tone for his attention to detail and percussive swinging rhythms. Further records have appeared
on Sigha’s label Our Circular Sound, Shifted’s Avian imprint as well as a massive release on R&S. To add to this Macronite are very excited to announce that Truss will also be playing a extra special live set with his Brother Tessela (who also plays
the warehouse) as ER//TR, expect live jams of future acid.
Tessela has been with us before and you all know what hes capable off. Hes also launching his own label Dolly kicks soon with infamous hackney parrot been played all over for the past few months.
Hailing from Manchester come AND, the duo are creating some raw ass banging techno and we are very excited about this performance. Their first release appeared on
Mindset recordings back in 2009 when they released ‘Nebulos’ which was a techno swinging track pulling influence from the worlds of dubstep and jungle. Since then AND have gone on to release EP’s on two of Berlin’s highly
revered techno labels, Horizontal Ground and Black Sun Records with the tracks delving into both their deeper dubbier side and also their more industrial techno sounds. And have also recently released their own white label series to much acclaim.
Joining the fray is Man From the Lab, part of the Machine Whisper collective from Zagreb Croatia. Eomac, one half of IDM duo Lakker, will be performing under his solo electronic moniker.
The terrace will actually take off and jet into the future as mr 8040, Space Dimension controller takes to the stage for a 4 hour set that will take you back to the future. SDC much anticipated debut album drops March 4th on R&S records, just in time for paddys day. SDC is one of the most talented guys out there so don;t miss out on this special opportunity to see him
Warming up for SDC is a real homegrown treat Aaron Lipsett & Fion from Madtech records.
You can also expect to hear sounds from Macronite residents, Elemental music with Entropy & Conga along with Nubus, Chris Moore & Riseup Cork boy Jonzey.
So there you have it....you know what to do.
Also we realize this is a very long Blurp so if you have read this far
here is something for you.
The first 3 people to say at the door "Shazam Kablam" will get a free beer!
