If 2013 is anything like 2012, Kozzmozz will continue to fly high through the universe of mind-blowing techno. In 2012 we sold out each edition and the atmosphere at all the parties was absolutely amazing. Let’s do it again on this first edition of 2013!
Because we have again carefully selected the crop of the worldwide techno top and will serve them to you on a silver platter …
First up is Berghain resident Len Faki who recently turned his Berghain Podium night into a label called Podium next to his already very successful Figure label that has over 40 releases out. Several by the man himself and his latest 12” ‘DJ Edits vol. 1’ with the ‘Wide Open’ track is a huge techno hit. He is a real entertainer behind the decks with an impeccable taste for techno so he will surely make you sweat on the dance-floor.
Next to running his own Perc label ( with over 50 releases by artists as James Holden, Nathan Fake, Peter Van Hoesen, ...), Perc hit the big league after 2 very successful releases on Kompakt. From there on he went to produce for Drumcode, CLR and Electric Deluxe to name but a few. As a remixer he laid his hands on work of Trentemoller, James Holden, DJ Hell and many more. We are looking very forward to his live work which will be a real treat for true techno lovers.
Originally from the UK but now also living in Berlin is Function aka Dave Summer, one of techno's true underground heroes who has been DJ’ing and making music for over 15 years. More recently he became half of the amazing Sandwell District production collective with Regis and is scoring raving reviews with the Sandwell District label. Always interested in blurring the lines between the artist and the music, he will bring us a hybrid set in which he will enhance his dj set with lots of live elements. This will be his 4th visit to Kozzmozz so he is one of our favorites.
The three international stars will be joined by our own superstars. Kr!z who is taking his Token Records around the world with label-nights as far as Shangaï and Japan and more recently in Tresor and Berghain ( Berlin) and Culture Box ( Copenhagen).
And also Spacid will load up his favorite techno tunes of the moment for your dancing pleasure again. As usual he will warm you up with a set that brings you in the mood straight away, in a way only he can.
