IWWs 5th Birthday party takes us away from our regular hangout – legendary Harry Klein – and back to the roots, where it all began. In February of 2008 the very first IWW (Ich will weinen – I want to cry) took off in Backstage Werk and laid down the foundation for IWW the way we know and love it today. So get out pens and papers, because back in its birthplace IWW is ready to write history once again!

The way we intend to make this epic is simple: We have prepared a ridiculously good line-up, a mixture of legends, local heros and shooting stars. The Techno-Floor's first headliners are Detroit-based veterans, first generation, among the inventors of Techno music, Octave One. The Burden Brothers are coming all the way from the US to play us their mind-blowind live-set, 6square meters full of synthesizers, sound-altering effects and many other beautiful sound-gadgets. With millions of records sold via their label 430 West, which today is considered a cult record label, these brothers are your best chance to dance and bathe in a sea of undiluted, pure Techno. They are definitely our personal favorite live-act and we are grateful to welcome them to IWW's 5th Bday!
The second headliner we are very excited to announce is the New Yorker Levon Vincent with his intelligent, rhythmical and very expressive Techno. The honor of winning Resident Advisor's favorite DJ-Mix is still freshly earned and his hit record “Late Night Jam” released on Berghain's very own Ostgut-Ton continues to advance to a proper club hymn. If there is any act to keep an eye on and you haven't had him on your radar so far, it has to be Levon Vincent. Releases on Ovum, his own label Novel Sound, as well as his beloved Boiler Room set have helped him steadily build a following and consequently lead to international success. What a bunch of pearls and presents he'll have in his record bag ready for you to enjoy!
But of course we have more in the pipeline, IWW's very own prodigy Andrea Di Rocco and our birthday child Maze 2.0 who has made a name for himself in Munich with his “Vorsicht Glas” '(Watch out for the glass) parties in the Rote Sonne club.

On our House-Floor in the Werkstatt (workshop) – where the afterhour will be taking place – all your friends from the IWW family you got to know over the years will get together and have a big one with us:
ANA from Harry Klein, Michal Zietara from Tanzen ist auch Sport (Dancing is a sport as well), Rhode&Brown from Bon Moustache, Simon D & Alioune D from Kiesbettmusik (Pebble-bed-music) will whisk together a colorful, musical potpourri from Deep-House to Dub-Techno. The magic of the music will wind itself down the shell of your ear into your feet and they will move! TADAA, the magic trick is done!
Last but not least your hosts, the IWW initiators Maxâge, Fabian Kranz and Sebastian Galvani will happily take over the record players and play until there is no more to play to make our IWW experience a complete one.
