Over the course of its career Kode9’s Hyperdub imprint has shown no signs of slowing down or conformation with its recent output, in fact doing the complete opposite, ramping up the unexpected. It’s always been one of those sure fire curveball imprints that listeners can grow and explore with and their residency here at FABRICLIVE has managed to reflect that wayward journey through sound perfectly. Inviting juke innovator DJ Rashad over from his native Chicago to launch his Rollin EP continues that trend of covering new ground, sonically, and when you back that up with sets from Kode, Ikonika, Scratcha, Cooly G, Terror Danjah and Walton his inclusion seems to take on a whole new meaning.
Goldie’s Metalheadz imprint returns once again to put a little ownership on Room Two with an exemplary array of drum & bass artists. Featuring an enticing ‘Old Skool Set’ from Headz originators Doc Scott and Storm the bill fleshes itself out pertinetly with sets from Goldie, Artificial Intelligence, Ulterior Motive, Lenzman, Rido and Mikal.
The tightly bound group of hip hop besotted residents that form London’s Tempo Clash take to Room Three for the very first time with performances from the incredibly talented California ex-pat DJ Kutmah, Om Unit, Blue Daisy and Kidkanevil . Support comes from Jay 5ive of Anti Social Entertainment.
