Happy new year to you folks!!!
We went idle for a little while but it was refreshing for us. We hope you had a great time to over Xmas and NYE and you saved some of your energy for us.

We are kicking off the new year with an exclusive showcase from our Techno Taverna friends over at Berlin's notorious Watergate club. If it 's the a mid-week party, with the best music and the finest crowd, you're after then Techno Taverna is your choice, and it has been for a long time now

Lawrence is head of the Dial label who can preen on a large number of releases in his palmarès (under the name Lawrence or his Sten moniker). it was 1999 when he launched the underground Hamburg based label, which soon become home to well coveted releases from Efdemin, Pantha Du Prince and Carsten Jost. From there on Lawrence's career skyrocketed. His mellow and atmospheric landscapes soon attracted the attention of major. Lawrence has released his music - other than on Dial and sub-label Laid - on labels like Ghostly International, Spectral, Kompakt, Liebe*Detail, Mule and to top this off he did a mix for Cocoon, where he excellently demonstrated his skills both in mixing and selecting the finest pieces of electronic music. In one phrase, Lawrence is one those guys that helped shape the sound we now refer to as modern deep.

Matthias Meyer is one those producers that can't miss. You know when some musician has skills when all his productions force the entire floor to move. And we know that from experience 'cause Meyer's music is regularly played by our resident, Nikos, and we've seen the reactions on the floor. His productions deep yet driving always balance right on the verge between house and techno. Just take a moment to listen to his latest track 'Fallin'' on the Watergate compilation and you'll understand what we mean.

The name Stassy is synonym to Techno Taverna. Founder, creative mind and steadily-rising-higher dj, a German of Greek descent, Stassy combines all the fine attributes of both tribes. Efficiency, persistency, dedication, sprinkled with a mediterranean temperament and a lively spirit; all help explain why his career is being going from strength to strength.
