DANNY NUNEZ - MASSIVE GROOVE, HOUSE MASON

Danny grew up in NYC where the music flourished and some say it came to be. From there he took his passion with him across Latin America constantly pushing the beat farther and farther into his own style. Eventually he found himself back in his native Dominican Republic where he could settle down and focus a bit more on what it was to DJ to the masses. His popularity ensued until one night he stepped on stage and his momment came as natural as every element in the world he put together beat after beat. DJ Nasty had made it, the stakes had changed and life would never be the same.

He learned a great deal about the beat that night which has led him full circle to come back home to New York. Like any artist, one’s roots cannot be denied and Danny has run head long into the NY scene. Admired by the likes of Roger Sanchez and Dennis Ferrer it’s no surprise he was recently signed by Defected Records to shore up their presence in South East Asia. Impressive coming from a lad who just recently hit the legal drinking age in his hometown. You can expect big things from this young maestro of the bounce. Whether it’s floor filler sets for the masses or deep and intimate for a select few music heads his choice beats, Latin or otherwise, will always leave you wanting more. The only question left would be, “Can your body handle it?”
