On Saturday 30th March 2013 creative DJ & Event Agency DC7 celebrates 4 years of outstanding events. Headlining this roadblock party will be Nicole Moudaber (Intec- Drumcode), Technasia (Cadenza), Gel Abril (Ovum - Be as one), with the support of Gianni Scotto (DC7/Definitive rec), Neverdogs (Music On), Paride Saraceni (1605 - Sci+Tec) Miky J (Snatch!), Blue Mondays, and many more.
DC7 philosophy is strictly music based, focusing on bringing the finest underground dance music DJ’s to London, with the aim of creating a regular clubbing hotspot for house and techno.
Nicole has segued into 2013 with as much authority as she finished up 2012. The previous 12 months proved to be a landmark year musically having first scooped the prestigious “Best Minimal/Techno Track” IDMA at the Miami Winter Music Conference for her remix of Carl Cox’s “Chemistry” on Intec Digital.
April then sees Nicole’s career take a giant leap forward. Following in the footsteps of techno luminaries such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Ben Sims and label boss Adam Beyer, Nicole is set to release her debut long player on one of electronic music’s most revered imprints Drumcode. Scheduled for release on the 29th April the confidently titled “Believe” sees Nicole at the top of her game, and is set to reaffirm her status as the “Queen of Underground”.
For thirteen years Technasia has created a unique east/west fusion that moves seamlessly from the Paris club scene, to the streets of Hong Kong, to the hippest techno venues in Europe. Founded by Charles Siegling and Amil Khan in 1996, Technasia thrived as a duo for almost a dozen years. Now, Charles has gone solo, taking Technasia into 2010 as a one-man project. Unlike a Hollywood divorce, the parting between Siegling and Khan is truly amicable. Hong Kong-based Khan retired from Technasia to spend time with his young family. “You have to live this scene every single day,” says Siegling, “It’s very consuming, Amil didn’t want that anymore.”
2012 opened on an exciting note as Charles joins the agency of the nutso Vagabundos folks, lead by Luciano, with several EPs released on Cadenza Records with several dates at Pacha & Ushuaia in Ibiza.
Talking about the new age of techno, Gel Abril’s (Roy Brizman) name has been undoubtedly one of the most presents names on the underground movement lips. Debuting as a remixer for Shlomi Aber on labels such as “Ovum” (Freakside) and “Renaissance” (Moods), Gel started building his own profile with original material for his home based label: Be As One imprint. Thanks to the success of releases such as “Sparta” - with his fellow rising star from Tel Aviv, Itamar Sagi – and above all his first hit “Very Wrong”, Gel soon got into the techno rumble as testified by the huge support given to his tracks by the worldwide crossover top Djs.
Since the start of his promising career development, Gel has been established as one of the most influential Djs and producers of the recent time, whose release upon release became an industry trademark.
Happy Anniversary DC7!
