Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Just Announced!
It is with regret that we have just learned that Subb-An will now be unable to perform at Saturday's 10 Year celebrations. However as a more than worthy replacement we have the incredible wunderkind Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaur (TEED).
As Crosstown Rebels enters the tenth year since its birth, they mark the occasion with a world tour of epic proportions featuring some of its most colourful characters. On the 27th April, it comes to London, with the show taking place at Great Suffolk Street Warehouse, which has lent itself as the stage to many Rebels over the years.
Headlinging will be the master of discovery, label founder Damian Lazarus. Driven by a child-like curiosity, a vivid imagination and wicked sense of humour, he invests boundless energy and enthusiasm into nurturing emerging producers around the world and sharing some of the most exciting and experimental music on the planet, leading to Crosstown Rebels being crowned no.1 label of 2011 by Resident Advisor. Titianic duo Infinity Ink will take to the stage alongside the stunning and multi-talented Dinky. Chilean maestro Pier Bucci will be performing live, former Crosstown Rebels label manager Matthew Styles and Crosstown's newest star DJ, producer and vocalist Francesca Lombardo are all in. With Berlin boy Kiki and Silversurfer playing back to back, and the friendly face of Rob Mello completeing the line-up.
The Crosstown Rebels story is one of cosmic magnitude. More than a record label, it has grown to encompass a growing group of admired musical misfits, a TV series, a mystical festival, and a philosophy for a collective of free spirits. A pinnacle of ever-evolving quality, consistently reinventing the current landscape of music and touching souls around the globe with fresh iconic records and mind tripping, off-the-grid events, they are driven by a defining tight-knit global family. The dedicated crew of Rebels are caught in a worldly and unrelenting pursuit of fun and alternative ways of setting fire to their passions. However the label was born and nurtured in London, which remains its spiritual home and the heart of the tour.
