If one name crops up time and again in discussions of techno and House , it is that of Detroit legend Derrick "Mayday" May. Alongside Juan Atkins ,Carl Craig and Kevin Saunderson, May is regarded as one of the kings of the Detroit sound..
Recording either as Mayday or Rhythm Is Rhythm (occasionally in conjunction with Carl Craig) and generally on his own Transmat Records label, he went on to carve out a new vein in dance music that synthesized the advances of the electro sound with the more challenging end of the House movement - a music that defined "techno". We are very excited to host one of THE legends of deep tech music Alongside a new school hero…
With electronic music becoming more polished and quantized, Boddika’s arrival has shaken the scene to its very core, slamming down with a raw take on things that’s making party people and journalists question “what is this sound”!!?
We’re insanely exited to have these two guys playing together
Complimenting both of these heads are the 20/20 vision legend Simon Baker. A DJ and producer who has always managed to operate on his own unique terms since first emerging. Rather than kowtowing to the style of the times, he has pushed his unique house and techno agenda, both as a DJ, and as a producer across the scene globally for the last decade
Hot Creations and Paradise Resident , Robert James adds the cherry on the cake . Rob and Simon played the back to back set of the season in Ibiza closing last summer.
We seriously cannot wait for this one
See you on the dancefloor... X
